I worked with Julianne in a custody battle with my child my father. Julianne was not only very knowledgeable on the topics/procedures but also knew how to tailor our case so as to get my most desired outcome. In the end, we got just that! I’m very satisfied with Julianne’s work and I highly recommend her services!

Julie took on 2 cases simultaneously for me and we reached favorable terms in both cases. During a very stressful time, speaking to her brought comfort and confidence that things would be ok. Her experience and wisdom were apparent when she made good recommendations on how to best approach each case and made accurate predictions on where things were headed. In the end we reached a resolution sooner than I had expected and I would definitely hire her again if ever needed.

Dealt with Ford & Sandler. They did nothing to for my case. The only thing they did was charge me 15 minutes for every little thing. Including an email with only 4 words in it. They even charge you for when they speak with each other (or other attorneys in the firm.) They have no backbone to stand up for their client. All they do is convince you to keep the communication going so they can continue to charge you. My advice - run away as fast as you can / do not hire them and if you did, find a new one. Trust me, it's never too late.

Robbed me Blind I struggle as a single mother to make ends meet and needed help filing child support and custody. I could’ve done it through the state for less than $10 though my ex became hostile when he heard that I initiated the process. He threatened to take full custody and told me he already had lawyers involved and would take everything. I relocated to this state and don’t have family or resources in this area. A friend highly recommended Dorothy Kenney for legal counsel. I trusted this lawyer and accepted a $250 consultation fee because I didn’t want to take any chances when my child was at stake. During the consultation she told me my ex was avoiding child support payments of about $1K per month, which didn’t include any daycare or additional expenses. The minimum payments would be about $500 per month. She listed my options and recommended private mediation as the best course of action. She also offered to draft a child custody agreement and prepare documentation for a small retainer fee of $1K. It was expensive and I was hesitant at first after reading the agreement because every correspondence and document had additional charges associated with the contract. Kenney reassured me that the documents submitted for preparing mediation would not be charged. I only wanted to make mediation as quick and simple as possible. The biggest mistake I made is that I didn’t want to make a mistake. I signed the retainer with Kenney and she quickly racked up fees by corresponding with the mediator unbeknownst to me. I followed both her and the mediator’s guidance and provided status updates that were not necessary and only added to the bill. I stopped communicating with Kenney and asked both her and the mediator to stop communicating with each other when I received a statement of $50. I sought legal guidance and received nothing. Kenney and the mediator racked up the bill with their own correspondence and depleted the initial $1K retainer. I did reach out to Kenney on a couple of other occasions. The first was when I thought mediation was going nowhere and wanted another retainer drafted because court seemed like it was the only option. The second was when I thought mediation favored my ex. Kenney’s response to this was that I chose not to involve her in the sessions, which would’ve cost an additional $1,500 per mediation session. I knew at that moment it was all about money and nothing to do with my child. Those two occasions cost me another statement worth $393.75. I paid my last bill and asked the billing coordinator at Einhorn to close my account. Please, don’t invest in Dorothy Kenney at Einhorn if you care about your family and their future. The financial burden will only add to any heartache you’re experiencing and complicate matters. She’ll rob you blind. *Note: child support was calculated at less than half of what Kenney estimated.

Although this is the first time I have had the need for the services of a family lawyer, I am able to make comparisons with experiences that a friend recently had with her divorce. I found Julie to be very patient with me, taking time to explain terminology, process and meanings of words. Julie was articulate and didn't fall back on legalese when pressed for an explanation or further information. I appreciated Julie's ability to lay out options for me, when the situation took an interesting turn and I had to consider my daughter's medical condition. This became further complicated when my daughter wanted to have nothing to do with her mother and Julie provided different strategies that we could use All in all, I felt very confident that Julie would always have my best interests at heart, which I think is something very reassuring when going through the emotional roller coaster that is a divorce. If I had to critique Julie on one area, it would be that her responsiveness can at times be improved. On occasion she would come back to me 2-3 days after I had sent a question and apologize for being really busy, or indicating she hadn't seen the message. In my business, we use our assistant's to review and prioritize the requirements for the manager to provide feedback. Even a quick response, indicating she'd seen the note but will only be able to respond within a certain timeframe that would go a long way to managing her client's expectations. That said, if I had to do this again, and I surely wouldn't want to ever do this again, I would definitely contact Julie again

It was my first marriage and the divorce was heartbreaking. In the past 12 months, I've been so down and I felt into the lowest point in my life, due to some issues caused by my ex-wife before and during the litigation process. As my attorney, Julia was kind-hearted, professional, patient, and willing to help me out. She proposed good legal suggestions, and tried best to solve my difficulties. She is a great listener and communicator. I think she was able to see through the mess and help me find the clue and next steps. She is also diligent and responsive. I highly recommend her to whoever is suffering in their marriages.
