I spoke to numerous law firms before hiring Ms. Rickett to represent me in my divorce proceedings. From the very first time we talked, I sensed a heightened level of competence, integrity, and clarity of thought with Ms. Rickett, as compared to her peers. She guided me through the incredibly burdensome requirements of completing the various court filings associated with divorce proceedings, counselled restraint, and encouraged dispassionate decision-making in what is an otherwise emotionally charged situation. I generally do not write reviews but I am compelled to write about my experience with this law firm. It is so hard to put in words what the Elphant Rickett Law Firm has done for me and my precious daughter.  Esq. Rickett gave me back a sense of relief, peace and most of all hope. For too long my life seemed to be in shambles. Darkness and despair hovered over and almost took a grip on me. After two and a half years of no movement from my previous lawyer, Esq. Rickett agreed to take my case and immediately produced results. She fought for me as if we were family.  Her energy, heart and legal knowledge was what I had been praying for.  Esq. I hope everyone reads my review because I will explain everything you need to know about Rosa, especially all the husbands who may be under the impression that the wife gets “everything” and the husband gets “screwed” which I was under the assumption of prior to my story. If you are going through a tough time and have that thought process, look no further. I have been through hell and nothing about my story was “amicable”. It started with a BS arrest, multiple restraining orders, a DV trial attempt, constant police involvement, multiple judges and the list goes on. At the end- the truth always prevails and Rosa made sure of that. I went from a TRO and losing custody at one point, to getting it reversed and awarded more overnights 2 days later. At the end of the day, my 20 month process (because of the other sides nonsense) has finally come to an end. I was awarded 50/50 custody, I got my house back, and my alimony payments along with the length of it were all reduced and I couldn’t have been done that without Rosa. She is hands down the BEST around. So before you look into finding an attorney, do yourself a favor and look no further. It will get done! She will fight for her clients and I am forever grateful. When I hired Ms. Rickett I was months into a mutual restraining order case, with my ex boyfriend, and it had turned into complete chaos! I started off as a ‘pro se litigant’, meaning representing myself. From my initial consultation through receiving a final judgment of divorce, Ms. Rickett was a great resource for me, an excellent advocate and extremely helpful in explaining all of the complex issues of divorce, parenting time, asset division and other matters. Through the entirety of the process, Ms. Rickett demontrated great patience and was highly knowledgeable about all relevent subjects. She aided me in identifying and hiring a private investigator, filing all the many dozens of statements and filings that were necessary. She was excellent at explaining the important issues of parenting and asset division and equally excellent at helping me set priorities and realistic expectations. She was outstanding in helping me set priorities and advocating for those priorities throughout the mediation process. As may be the cas e with many divorces, mine was highly emotionally charged and Ms. Rickett proved to be expert at lowering the temperature and driving to agreement on the important issues. Rosa cares!!! She made me feel more than a client, rather more like family. She truly cared for what was important to me and went out of her way to fight for those things.
