I was arrested for a crime. After interviewing several attorneys, I chose Brielle (Perelli) Tavaglione. In our initial interview, I found Ms. Tavaglione to be an astute listener with a laser sharp mind; she asked me all the right questions. In court, Ms. Tavaglione presented my case methodically. She ripped apart my accuser’s story. Ms. Tavaglione won the case, and I was rewarded with my choice. Ms. Tavaglione came highly recommended to me, and I highly recommend her as well.

I was very happy with the work Brielle did as an associate to the Bianchi Law Group. She was always on top of everything and made me feel confident about where I stood - which is a big thing to say because I was not confident at all initially, and I pretty scared about the possible outcomes. She always knew the answers to my questions and was easy to talk to in person, and she would always get back to my emails and texts surprisingly quick. She informed me of the realistic outcomes and how they weighed so I was able to anticipate what would happen. She filed motions that helped my case and overall knew how to get stuff done. I hope I never have the need to, but if I ever do need legal help I would not look anywhere else but to the Bianchi Law Group. To sum up, I was extremely satisfied with my experience and would recommend Brielle to anyone.

Brielle Perelli has helped represent me on two different matters, approximately six months apart from one another. The first time she represented me, I was facing serious drug charges - approximately nine different charges for the possession of various controlled substances, including heroin and other hard drugs, Unfortunately, i was arrested in Morris County and also charged with multiple counts of intent to distribute. Brielle and her associates were absolutely fantastic to deal with. She explained the entire process and the steps she would be taking on my behalf. She was amazingly proactive in my defense, and because of this I was accepted into the state's pre-trial intervention program. I consider this a grand slam considering the types of drugs and all of the charges I was facing. What is most important to me, is that Brielle and the partners at her firm were so concerned about my well being - they wanted to make sure that I was in the best hands possible. This was especially important considering my drug addiction - they cared about more than just representing me legally...they wanted to see me succeed and recover from my addiction. By providing the best possible legal representation, Brielle enabled me to completely focus on my health and recovery. Today, I am no longer chemical dependent - I know I would not be where I am today if it was not for Brielle and her partners. Thank you. Approximately six months later, Brielle and her partners represented me on various theft charges in Morris County Superior County, and the municipal courts of Morris Plains, Hanover, and Springfield. I was facing various theft charges in all these jurisdictions - the charges involved my former co-worker and various credit card transactions. Again, Brielle and the partners at her firm were a complete pleasure to deal with - she went above and beyond what was required as part of my defense. Not only did Brielle and her partners explain all of the different processes, but they took every possible step to ensure that I (and my family) understood the defense strategies being implemented, and the reasons for doing so. She facilitated the signing of cross complaints, and was able to file various motions in all of the courts in order to have the charges consolidated. Again, because the Bianchi Law group was so proactive, all of the charges (four) which I was facing were dropped / dismissed. Again, this was the best possible outcome possible. In the future, I will eagerly refer any of my family and friends to The Bianchi Law Group - I am confident that they will be in the hands of the best criminal defense attorneys in the state of New Jersey.

In 2013 I found myself in a very difficult situation I was going to be faced with the fact that after 26 years of marriage I was going to file for a divorce and I knew it was not going to be easy, So I began searching for an attorney I had met with two other attorneys before meeting with Mr. Pell. During our first meeting I felt so confident that he was the right attorney for me the process began. With his relentless motivation and his knowledge of the law Mr. Pell demonstrated tremendous expertise compelling arguments that were extremely valuable to my case and proved dissipation of material assets and was able to get me a wonderful out come on my settlement. Elliott Pell is an intelligent, capable, dedicated, and personable person. He is always quick on his feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances I've seen him in. I feel confident in saying that he is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. Sincerely, K

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Florham Park, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
