I was a practicing gastroenterologist for over 30 years and suffered medical complications that forced me to step down from my position as a senior partner in my practice. As soon as it became clear to me that I was going to be transitioning from my corporate disability benefits to a third party, private, long-term disability benefit, I knew it wasn’t a matter of IF I would need a lawyer, it was WHEN.
