Richard Reinartz has been my lawyer since 2014 and has helped me out with a couple of workers compensation cases, a car accident and a family members personal injury. In my personal opinion he is a great lawyer, keeps you informed of how your case is going and which direction is going, he is aggressive with his abilities to get you the best possible outcome in the end, he is compassionate to your injury or the situation your are in to help you out. I would recommend my lawyer to anybody and I have.

Rich said he would help me and that everything would be ok and then backed out with the explanation that I wasn’t injured enough for the case to be worthwhile for him (“it sounds like you’re just interested in recovering your medical expenses and nothing more”). For someone who is dealing with health issues related to an accident and trying to navigate healthcare that is totally outside the norm of what I’m used to this was a huge disappointment and wasn’t at all the right thing to do. I asked from the beginning whether this case would be worth it to him and he still invited me in to sign an agreement with him. I had some questions about the paperwork he wanted to me sign (pictured below) which I sent via email and the next time I spoke to him he said that he wasn’t interested in helping me any longer (rather than simply running through the questions for greater context as my email stated). My questions were (1) not wanting to pay interest on expenses (instead I wanted to pay up front so interest wouldn’t be required. I didn’t want to use my attorney as a credit card and I also wanted to have a say in what was spent since it’s ultimately my money whether it’s coming from my pocket or from a potential settlement) (2) wanting to know monthly hours billed (3) two of the docs he sent conflicted so I just wanted to understand if I was misreading the %s included (4) for my healthcare information I felt nervous to give blanket approval for all of my healthcare information for my entire life so I was wondering whether the doc was saying that (I thought it was) and whether it was necessary (5) if the recovered amount was really small I was wondering if the fee could be smaller so I could make sure I was made whole for my expenses. Instead of talking through any of this Rich hung me out to dry after I already went through the effort of sending him everything I had and coordinating transportation to go to him office and sign paperwork. I was just asking to discuss these items not demanding this was done but he didn’t take the time to hear me out. This wasn’t right. Updated with image of request from Rich after seeing my review.
