I got married young- leading me to get divorced young. I was terrified and Helen made the process seamless, easy, and extremely painless. She was there for me every step of the way, I have since recommended her to any of my colleagues asking for assistance and they have all loved her as well.

HD Family Law made a stressful situation so much easier. All the staff are so kind and professional, and you know they are there for you. All the fees also were extremely reasonable as I have heard of horrible stories from friends working with other attorneys. Helen truly is an angel and does the work because she believes in it. We needed a post nuptial agreement before we were able to refi and Helen took the time to explain to me exactly what it entails and the steps her firm would take to complete the document. She was always an email away and was extremely helpful even when the refi team was having trouble knowing what legal terms they needed included. Efficient and knowledgeable. She even followed up a few weeks later to be sure everything worked out for us.

Helen and her staff were extremely helpful and timely in the completion of our matrimonial work product. The staff were extremely friendly and there for us every step of the way! Helen also made herself available anytime we needed. She explained complex legal concepts in laymen’s terms, making the process much more manageable! I highly HD Family Law!!

Absolutely biggest waste of my money. After spending $4000 and waiting weeks for her to respond to any email I sent she got nothing done for me. I tried getting full custody of my son. I did everything she asked…in the end she took all my money knowing i don’t get any child support from my sons father and told me to hire another lawyer. I would not recommend her law firm to anyone.

This is the first time in my life I’ve posted a google review and felt so inclined following my experience so others don’t fall into the same trap. I found her practice’s billing policy to be extremely deceptive and cancelled our agreement after she asked for more money without even reviewing a draft of the document in question. She charged 1/4 of an hour to read and reply to each email response (even if it takes 1 minute), making every e-mail correspondence cost $175. Additionally she’d charge 1/4 when she checked in on status, thereby having free rein to inflate her bill. Additionally her work did not reflect the intent of what I was trying to accomplish, which having additional drafts only further increases her bill. I’d recommend others for services as I spent several thousand to receive no benefit. It’s also now humorous to see Helen and team reply below in a condescending fashion to somebody who paid their fee and only was annoyed when a request for more money came out of nowhere and it was discovered how she inflates her hourly rate. Never did I ask for free services as she insinuates but it does go to show you how she treats her clients. Additionally, she claimed she never had somebody disagree with a bill in 20 years but now the last two google reviews are one-star. Hopefully she responds to the feedback positively and her quality of service improves for future clients.
