Russell has been such a big help these last 3 years.He has fought for me to get my compensation from Workers Comp and he didn't give up.Every step of the way he explained everything to me and made it simple to understand.He is very patient and takes his time to help you understand what will happen each step of the way.When you call he will call you back as soon as he can.He did not give up and lets you know how long it will take each step of the way. In 2015, while performing my official duties at work, a colleague accidently dropped a heavy box on my neck, which caused nerve damage and soreness in my neck area. I subsequently contacted the Department of Labor, Office of Workers' Compensation (OWCP) seeking assistance to pay for my medical bills, X-rays, MRI and rehabilitation for my neck injury. I was denied coverage by OWCP even though I was injured at work. I was advised by OWCP that I had been denied coverage, because I had returned to work shortly after my injury. After considering my options, an attorney friend recommended that I make an appointment with the Uliase & Uliase Law Firm to see if I had a legitimate case. After doing extensive research, I learned that it is imperative that if you are injured as a federal employee, you should only hire a law firm that has experience in Federal Workers' Compensation cases, not one with experience limited to State Workers' Compensation. I made an appointment and met with attorney Russell Uliase at his office. He was very compassionate and listened intently what I was experiencing with OWCP. Mr. Uliase accepted my case, but made no promises about the outcome. I did not have an exceptionally great case, but I believe that Mr. Uliase took my case on principle and because he felt that OWCP was acting in bad faith. After Mr. Uliase accepted my case, I knew I had a strong advocate and I felt that I was in good hands. Even though Mr. Uliase did not make any promises about winning my case, I was confident we would win because I felt he was committed, he was persistent, and because of his reputation to win cases. Through Mr. Uliase's excellent efforts on my case, I was fully reimbursed by OWCP for all medical expenses, including my out-of-pocket expenses for rehabilitation for my neck injury (hold on to all receipts). I also received a generous scheduled award for my neck injury. If you are a federal employee injured on the job, and have a litigate your case with OWCP, I highly recommend attorney Russell Uliase without reservation. But for his efforts, I would not have been successful against OWCP. He kept me fully informed as the case progressed, and I was completely satisfied with his services.
