Would leave 5 after the first constitution. But at the risk if sounding naive I'll reserve my final opinion for resolution of the case (MINOR drug possession) he seems verrryy attentive and an all around great guy. Worked out a reasonable rate for me. His rate is reasonable I should say. Lol. Well see. He def talks the talk. Now hopefully I can watch him walk the walk

I want to express my gratitude to Pappas Hercules for all his hard work and extreme professionalism through out my entire case. He was able to persuade the prosecution to drop my felony convictions (which held 5 yrs prison sentence) and I walked away with only a fine. He communicated with me consistently throughout the case and even provided me with additional legal advice and a reference for another legal matter in Philadelphia, Pa. The judge expressed that his work was exceptional and I highly recommend him!!!

My decision to continue to retain this attorney on numerous occasions has never crossed my mind. Since 2017, Mr. Pappas has not only defended my best interests, he within the bounds of good taste and to my utmost appreciation, provided insight in times of distress that of which surpassed that of a typical attorney's obligation. A rare, albeit great attribute, among others like timely responses and keeping you in the loop of your case, that attests to his standard of getting clients through difficult times. Understanding, compassionate, whilst a fierce contender in the litigation process from start to finish, and who you no doubt need on your side in the court room. Mr Pappas accels in explaining your pros/cons, where/how they'll affect you in the court of law, and in and most importantly, the possible and/or most realistic outcomes or consequences. I have retained him on numerious cases and have yet to be let down. I always say that you need to be able to tell your attorney every last detail of your case to the best of your ability seeing as there is no other way to provide an appropriate, rather best defense. A big problem with most attorneys is that because they are often hired without much thought, or the clients not having known them before hand, is that most clients choose to not be completely honest in terms of guilt, for fear of judgement. With Hercules, that worry is non existent. Without a doubt, this attorney will provide you the best defense one could hope for.

I had a family issue this lawyer was retained for and not only did he take great care of my son and got him out of many troubles, but he also helped me tremendously in my case. He gives great advice and is eager to do the work most attorneys will shy away from. 100 percent honest and you get what you pay for here! No doubt he will work hard on your case and you will not be disappointed! He takes the time out with you and even excepts calls away from his office...Never met a nicer man!!!! Except maybe Jesus.

I have worked with Brian on several client matters both as opposing counsel and supporting a similar position. He is an exceptional attorney with a practical approach to representation and getting the best result for his client. I have also referred several clients to his firm and they have all been pleased with his representation.

I regularly refer clients to Brian Donnelly, due to his exceptional talent and genuine concern for his clients. In an age where you never seem to get what you pay for, Brian Donnelly is the exception to that rule.

Unfortunately, I have been in some automobile accidents. Fortunately, I met David Cedar who is highly intelligent; he knows the law. Mr. Cedar resolved one of my cases after I was told by another attorney that there wasn't anything that he could do. I'm writing this review because Mr. David Cedar deserves the praise and recognition. He and his staff are very professional and personable. It's never good to have been hurt in an automobile accident, therefore, you want and need an attorney who understands and is dedicated to fighting for you. Mr. Cedar is very matter of fact, highly intelligent and he really knows the law. I highly recommend him.

I sincerely mean everything I am about to say about Ed Kelleher, and I have extremely high expectations of my legal council which was exceeded by Ed. My case was a federal non-competition, non-solicitation and trade secrets case my prior employer filed against me. Large company with a lot of money. Ed proved to me he was very knowledgeable and experienced in these areas. He is excellent at analyzing the situation, foreseeing each possible outcome to determine what steps should be taken, and when, to achieve what we wanted. He is very level headed, and he does not let emotion dictate what action is needed in a case. He has excellent listening and communication skills which is great for those he represents, and bad for opposing council. He has high morals and ethics too. The best review of a person is answering the question, would you hire him again? Absolutely! Better yet, I have referred several others because I trust him with thier difficult legal situations. (Yes, we won!)

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Haddonfield, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
