Used for mediation. She bragged that she was on council that rejected assumed equal joint custody for fathers in NJ when I was fighting for joint custody. Tried to push me to accept very one sided custody arrangement. Felt like she was adversary attorney rather than neutral mediator. Seems like se is biased against fathers.

MaryAnn Bauer is a biased parenting coordinator. I question her fairness and her ethics. She will carry out many filler meetings to clock in more hours. Four out of five co-parenting issues were articulated structurally to draw excuses for the faults of my adversary. She and my adversary contacted the school without my consent to put a problem with my son's grades because my adversary had already disenrolled our son from remote learning during COVID. My son is an average A to B student. He was distraught that he threatened to fail all classes because he was removed from remote learning. At the same time, all of his peers remained remote. I had to get my lawyer to intervene, and my son was restored to remote learning. MaryAnn could not come up with a valid support for my adversary for denying me the chance to have dinner with my son on his birthday. My adversary was out of state on my son's birthday; the children were left with their grandparents. I formally asked MaryAnn to resign, but she refused, so I am stuck with her unless I pay for a motion to remove her.

We used her as a mediator. She failed to disclose her personal relationship with opposing counsel and I felt she was supporting the other lawyer. Poor at mediation.

Absolutely best family lawyer you'll find. Not to mention over all great people. Made the experience tolerable and always had me and the kids best interest in mind. Not worried about money like most lawyers. Kept me out of court and I kept what was rightfully mine. I would give her ten stars if I could! You won't be disappointed !

We retained Christopher Vaccaro to represent my son in a driving violation case. He was extremely professional, caring, took his time explaining details and answering questions. He returned all correspondences in a timely manner. He treated our case as serious as one of his bigger cases. I would highly recommend him for your defense attorney. Also, would highly recommend the entire practice.

I hired Mr. Vaccaro for a 13 yewr old warrant i was unaware of. He kept me up to date and informed at all times. I am so thankful for his excellent work figuring out how this went unnoticed. Mr. Vaccaro got all of my charges dismissed and expunged. I am forever thankful to him and his amazing lawfirm, including their wonderful office staff and Lisa. Communication and follow through of my case was beyond 5 stars.

I am a Registered Nurse who completed my Master of Science in Nursing 3 months before being pulled over by the police after leaving a wedding. After going through the routine evaluations, DUI included three additional offenses even though the breathalizer returned negative. I thought my nursing career and becoming a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner was over, for which I had just completed four years of graduate school. With good luck, a family member referred me to a friend, who referred me to Mr. Vaccaro, who took my case and provided me with much more hope by explaining the process. Mr. Vaccaro's experience as a lawyer and former assistant prosecutor of DUIs gave me confidence in his ability to help me achieve the optimal possible outcome. The final result is that Mr. Vaccaro got three out of the four charges against me dismissed, the most important of which was the DUI. The outcome was better than I expected, considering the charges against me. Mr. Vaccaro's ability to assess and analyze my situation accurately with the details provided illuminated his intelligence in knowing where to go with the case. Considering his competence, I would recommend Mr. Vaccaro to anyone who needs an excellent lawyer for this problem and others. He was very supportive of me and completely thorough in the execution of the processing of my case. Mr. Vaccaro displayed all of what the manifestation is of an exceptional attorney. I confidently recommend Mr. Vaccaro as an attorney to turn to.

I had a great experience with this firm, specifically with Christopher Vaccaro representing me in traffic court. I was extremely nervous and Mr. Vaccaro was incredibly reassuring and comforting while answering all my questions about what to expect in court. Huge bonus that he was able to resolve the matter in my favor! I would also like to note that the receptionist I originally spoke to when first calling was very kind and helpful.

Extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring, Chris Vaccaro guided us through the court system earlier this year with a very favorable outcome. Kearns Rotolo law firm seemed to be well known and connected in the local courts.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Lebanon, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
