I hired Anniello Ceretto in the end of December 2014 to file a motion to vacate a default divorce. During 15 months of dealing with him, he was constantly lying to me, was never committed to his promises, deceiving and manipulated not only me, but the court staff and my wife’s lawyer. In particular: he was lying and delaying servicing of a motion to the court for almost a month. Later he let me drive under heavy snow from Farmington CT to NJ for a court appearance, he knew was already canceled. He secretly negotiated with my wife lawyer, which violated professional conduct rule. He violated communication rule when he refused to convey information, which I requested to my wife lawyer and the court. Then he was trying to persuade me that instead of proceeding with the motion, he induced me to do and pay him $2000, I should settle with small modification of settlement agreement to enforce a waiver of child support, which was not even applicable to my 19 years old daughter, who already went to college. I almost fired him in July 2015, but, unfortunately, let him come back, when got into deep clinical depression in September. He made a fun and sadistic satisfaction of my severally depressed condition. He convinced me then to settle with my ex-wife with minuscule alimony of $300. I changed my mind immediately, but was unable to stop him from perusing this settlement despite my repeated demand to halt it. It was another violation of a professional conduct rule. Even after I agreed to this embarrassing settlement, which was for him a quick way out of the case and paid him 1,750 extra for something he influenced me to do against my will, he still manipulated me and a court system for another 5 months. I finally signed the substitution of attorney request, after paying him 3,750 for “service”, which I was not only benefit from for one cent value, but was harmed and demeaned morally, mentally and financially. Stay far away from this guy, unless you want to be trapped by his empty promises, constant manipulations and want to waste your hard earned money.
