Attorney Susan Wainer Scheer has been my greatest help during the immigration process. She is as professional as can be, experienced and knowledgeable, and at the same time genuinely caring. Susan is patient and generous when giving information, I've never felt that she's in a rush to end the conversations with me, her guidance is exceptional, motivating, reassuring, and her answers to my questions take into account the big picture. She is aware of potential hurdles, will notice her clients' weak areas of preparation ahead of time, and instruct accordingly. I am very thankful to Susan for all the kind help.

I had a very negative experience overall 1 – You are charged before the consultation without knowing the quality of the output (not a good sign) 2 – During the consultation, the lawyer was absolutely not helpful and was just reading the immigration guidelines from the USCIS website since she was not versed at all with the topic (= self petition for Green Card). I felt I knew already more than her on the topic just talking with my friends who went through similar petitions 3 – She ended up sending me the contact of another lawyer more helpful. From my point of view, they should have filtered my request before accepting a “fake consultancy”. They should have mentioned (before charging me $150) that they were not capable to work on Self Petitions. I have since talked to 2 other immigration lawyers offices, who are way more professionals. One of them for example has spent 30mn on the phone to make sure that they could really help with my request before talking to the lawyer, and this without even charging anything. Since I felt really abused by the useless interview with Scheer Law Group, I have decided to call them again to share my feedback and to get my money back. After calling them 3 times (of course they never returned my call as they said they will do… but did not), they refused to give me my money back. They only suggested me to pay another consultation at $150 with Scheer to explain why I wanted my money back. RIDICULOUS !!! I would have really appreciated them to recognize that this was dysfunctional from their side to set up a consultancy and take money from people knowing ahead that they are not capable to help.

I have found Scheer Immigration Law to be just the right combination of top-notch professionalism and legit friendliness. This can be a rare combination!
