I never thought lawyers actually cared about their clients until I had my initial consultation with Shari. My case was not a huge one so I was afraid nobody would but in the effort to help me out. I felt as if Shari really understood how unfair my situation was and felt a personal mission to stick up for what was wrong. The other person’s lawyer was an expert at “getting under my skin” but Sharri was able to filter through the noise and developed a plan to negotiate a LIFE CHANGING settlement. My only regret is not hiring her sooner.

Shari never gave up. When you call Shari you are supported by not only the best attorney in South Jersey but a team that is second to none. Shari and team challenged the courts to fight for justice in my case. When other attorneys told me to just pay and pay or just read my emails and charged me Shari set realistic expectations for me from the start which made me feel supported. I want to recommend Shari B. Veisblatt to everyone. She will explain your options, the laws and why or why not she wants to take take the course of action that she is recommending.

Shari is truly an expert in family law and an exceptional attorney. She guided me through a complex, high-conflict divorce. She was extremely thorough, diligent and responsive. You will not find an attorney and legal team more responsive during your case. Melissa, Allison and Noreen are the best of the best. They are knowledgeable and informative every step of the way. Their attention to detail and their work ethic cannot be matched. The entire process was seamless. Shari is a compassionate and clear-minded professional who helped me get through some of the most difficult days of my life. She was supportive, and able to help me focus on emotion-filled days. She led me to the right professionals to help my children and I navigate the challenges we were facing. For this, I am forever grateful. Shari had a clear plan for my case. She navigated and adjusted when challenges arose. She kept things light and humorous on days when it was needed. My case required persistence, patience and at times tenacity. Shari delivered on fronts and always took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. Truly grateful for Shari's expertise and guidance.

I cannot say enough good things about Shari and her team. Shari, Melissa, and Allison are true professionals. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and overall demeanor are top notch. I wish I found Shari much sooner while navigating the child support/family law system with a less than pleasant NCP - because she is knowledgeable, fearless, and steady. Her confidence and understanding of the law while guiding me through a challenging time is exactly the type of representation I needed and I would give her beyond 5 stars if I could. Thank you!

Shari is nothing short of amazing. I have had the (unfortunate) pleasure of working with her for over 4 years. She has never steered me wrong. She is extremely thorough and I feel she truly knows me and my case without having to "relearn" everything. She has been with me from the beginning. I do not know how I would do it without her. I literally trust her with everything and everything. She is knowledgeable in the field and has a strong team. I do not need to wait an extended amount of time for responses. Overall, I could not ask for more from an attorney.

My experience with Julie Burick, a divorce and family law attorney at Adinolfi, Lieberman, Burick, Roberto & Molotsky, P.A., was nothing short of outstanding. Ms. Burick is an excellent attorney who is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney, which means;she has been recognized as an expert in divorce and family law matters. Ms. Burick took over my year-and –half case with the utmost professionalism and care. Ms. Burick fought tirelessly for my case, and especially my children. Ms. Burick took the time to explain all the documents and was very patient with my numerous questions. It was an emotionally exhausting case with too many complexities involved, but her strategic thinking, proactive approach and bold advocacy helped me, and my children, achieve a favorable outcome. Ms. Burick did not have to resort to name calling or the blame game; instead, she focused the case on the facts and the law. Ms. Burick is respectful to opposing counsels but can be feisty if needed. In addition, the paralegal staff was also courteous and prompt with their responses - which made the stressful process much more bearable. I am profoundly grateful for Ms. Burick’s exceptional services and results. I highly recommend Julie Burick and Adinolfi, Lieberman, Burick, Roberti, & Molotsky, P.A. to anyone seeking top-notch legal representation in divorce and family law.

Over four years ago I was having a difficult time with the initial firm that was handling my worker's compensation case. A friend recommended the services of Mr. Kendall Medway at Levinson Axelrod and I could not be anymore pleased with the experience of working with Mr. Medway. Mr. Medway's expertise and persistence is truly something to be admired. He kept me fully informed and up-to-date every step of the way and was immediately available to help with any question or concern that I may have had. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mr. Medway and Levinson Axelrod.

I got injured at my job in April 2022, after which my employer started treating me unfairly-- the employer didn't even allow me to see an actual doctor until almost a year after the injury occurred. I was misdiagnosed by their urgent care reps and by a therapist who told me I was basically faking the injury and gave me physical therapy exercises that caused me more pain. I reached out to a number of lawyers who dismissed me, until I came across Mr. Kendall Medway. From the day I walked into his office he reassured me that he would do all that he could to help me. As far as I am aware, he did just that. Mr. Medway led me through the workers compensation process, which took nearly two years. We reached a settlement in February 2024. I am satisfied with the outcome and that I chose Levinson Axelrod for my workers compensation claim.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Mount Laurel, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
