Fantastic lawyers - highly recommend Robyn and Liz

I would not hesitate to recommend Elizabeth Calandrillo from Ross & Calandrillo, LLC to anyone seeking divorce advice. I hold Elizabeth and her team in the highest regard. She is a highly knowledgeable international divorce attorney who is extremely professional and demonstrates genuine empathy – a quality I did not find with other lawyers that I contacted. Elizabeth was compassionate to my needs, and again with her extensive legal knowledge and professional advice, the outcome was a success. Thank you so much.

Elizabeth Callandrillo is AWESOME!!! There aren’t enough superlatives to describe her work. I don’t ever write reviews, but the dedication she has put forth towards my case can’t go unnoticed. I hired 2 different lawyers in the past to represent my child custody/child support cases and all they did was take my money. I was skeptical about hiring Elizabeth, but I see that she is worth every dime! She works hard, very responsive, eloquent in court, and passionate about winning the case! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that’s looking for a tough, “bulldog” of a lawyer.

The staff made me feel comfortable during my legal procedure. The entire team is professional and caring.

Robyn Ross is a highly knowledgeable attorney who I would trust with any family law issue, including Mediation. Her office is responsive and attentive, and she is thoughtful and compassionate during a time that is stressful for many families. Would highly recommend Robyn to anybody considering mediation, or going through a divorce.

*update: as soon as this firm discovered this review, I was threatened with litigation. Just very gross and disappointing people. I’ve learned not all lawyers are concerned about your best interests. Yikes. ———— I liked Liz when I retained her. She was easy on the pockets in terms of retainer (or so I thought). I retained Elizabeth in 2018. Little did I know, I’d have the worst first experience which a family lawyer ever. My daughter’s father started what would be the beginnings of abuse via the court system and I explained everything I needed to to Elizabeth. I even provided proof of everything as requested. We had a solid plan, but once we got to court, I realized she knew the defendant’s counsel and it all seemed very unprofessional to me. Once we were in court, she went out of her way to take my child’s father’s side, even on issues we’d never discussed. The proof I provided never even wound up being used. I expressed my frustrations with the way our court order wound up being written shortly down the line and was blown off. I made myself vulnerable enough to express that was in an abusive situation with my child in the middle and that, too, was blown off. The icing on the cake is during times where business was slow and even in the middle of the pandemic, they reached out for $7k in funds. Come to find out, there were TONS of fees that were NEVER discussed or explained, nor did the firm have an interest in explaining them. Like come on...they continued to pursue reaching out in the middle of COVID when literally almost every average person was unemployed. Sorry. Not everyone can just dump out $7k in one lump sum. Definitely don’t trust their ‘we will work with you and your budget’. It’s a lie. They will hit you with several thousand dollars later...especially if you have to have several court appearances. Anyway, I expressed them reaching out during COVID was insensitive and they proceeded to further threaten me with collections. I would not recommend the firm at all if you’re in any type of domestic abuse or domestic abuse adjacent situation with your child(ren)’s other parent. They will just make things worse. They were definitely not emotionally sound or emotional/sympathetic, to say the least. They also will take the man’s side even if it’s clear there are signs of abuse. It’s as if nothing I said was listened or catered to. Luckily, I have AMAZING counsel now who puts this firm to shame and I have for a while now. Thankfully, they were able to correct everything this firm screwed up (including, but not limited to inaccurate child support calculations - I guess they thought I wouldn’t discover all the ways they tried to screw me over in court since I wasn’t hip to all the court and lawyer jargon). They are totally dishonest people. I wanted to like the firm. They have 5 stars on google and it’s why I went to them in the first place, but after the experience I couldn’t understand the high rating. There may very well be disgruntled clients like myself who were also judged and/or treated unprofessionally and are scared to leave reviews. I’m not. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I know this review will help someone. God bless.

Robyn represented me in my divorce, she did an excellent job. She was very honest and forthcoming, not only did she save me money but her and her staff worked diligently into the eleventh hour to get me a favorable result. As the saying goes "She knows her stuff". I would give her 10 stars if I could, I highly recommend her...

Robyn is a shining star in the community of NJ divorce attorney’s, a major cut above the rest and highly respected by clients, judges, mediators and court staff alike. I went through a very long and highly contentious divorce and I honestly don’t think I could have gotten through it without Robyn at my side. Smart and passionate, she aggressively championed my case without being overbearing or annoying. She has the rare ability to stay calm and focused, even under the most stressful of situations. Robyn is always thinking 2-3 steps ahead of the process and is very direct about letting you know the realities of NJ divorce law so you will never get blindsided. She never lets you give up in exasperation when something less than fair comes your way. With regard to billing, she does not waste your money on trivial issues or jack up your bill with ridiculous fees. It’s a major comfort to have such a sharp, tenacious and well-respected pro on your side. I wouldn’t even consider anyone else, but if you’re looking for someone to represent you, you better act fast—she is a hidden gem and on the verge of becoming very big in her field.

I had high expectations but was very disappointed. Never followed through with things that she said she would execute. Lawyer made mistakes and I was charged for the time spent.
