I've only met one lawyer before so this might not mean a lot. I have nothing bad to say because Mrs.Ramirez was great. She was friendly, understanding and showed interest. More importantly Mrs. Ramirez got it done (my family is very happy). I can only compare her to the last lawyer my parents got for the family (never met him or her). Ms. Ramirez Went above and beyond in my case. She was always there to answer questions and walk me through the steps required to bring the case to a fruitful ending even though I know I asked her the same questions numerous times. On April 2011, I hired Helen Ramirez as my legal counsel, she was highly recommended by an acquaintance who had similar situation as mine. Before getting in touch with her I've contacted many lawyers and each had multiple reasons not to take me as a client given the very difficult nature of the case and majority of them suggested that my husband and I conceive immediately to make my immigration case much stronger. I understand the suggestions were in good faith but we were not ready to make that commitment only for the sake of my case. At our first consultation, we were welcomed by this lively, beautiful petite lady. Our first impression was that we have never met a lawyer that welcoming. Helen listened intently to our situation and our concerns. I was expecting to hear the same suggestion of how having a child would make our case stronger and to my surprise she didn't mention anything about it. She advised that although our case is challenging but it is not impossible. She said it will take some time but we will need a lot of patience and have to be honest as we go through the process. Her advocacy meant a lot to us, my husband and I were thrilled by her advice, we wanted to get our situation fixed and did want it to be settled via honesty with an honest lawyer. I was extremely nervous about the whole process, my livelihood depended on it. I will be honest, I was a bit annoying in the beginning, I would text/call/email her numerous times over the same subject but not once did she loose her patience with me. She's was very thorough with our case. Few times I would forget to send her the documents but Helen would always remind me, she was always there.
