Scott is a very professional, smart and responsible lawyer. He helped me with my I485 application. There was some complications with my case, but he handled it very well, and my case got approved recently which I didn't expect to happen so quickly honestly. He had great strategies and always followed up in a timely manner. His profession always relaxed me as he knew what to do next. Scott and his firm were successful in obtaining a 3 year renewal of my TN-1 visa classification for me under the NAFTA category of Management Consultant. By definition, management consultants provide services that help organizations improve their performance in a wide range of disciplines, primarily through the analysis of existing strategic and operating business problems and development of plans for improvement of the organization's administration, policies and goals. In my particular case, my services as a Communications (Social Media) Manager were being retained by a multinational Fortune 500 company. While a marketing/social media consultant is not a typical case for a TN-1 as a management consultant, Scott and his team were able to prepare a compelling and successful case which included strategizing where and when to apply at the U.S. Port of Entry which resulted in a full 3 year approval.

In my case, we took an alternative approach from the norm by pursuing my green card process while I was on an F1 student visa and working for the company on OPT. My case was time sensitive since I was one of the tens of thousands who were not selected in the H-1B lottery, and had less than two years left on my STEM OPT. I hired Scott to help me secure my 5th E3 Visa. He was a total rockstar and a breath of fresh air. Having had a lot of experience with the E3, I was impressed by Scott's logical and practical advice rather than the usual legal jargon I had heard with previous immigration lawyers to which never really answered my questions. Scott responded quickly to queries and was always available, even with the timezone difference in Australia. Scott Malyk is an excellent immigration attorney. I call on him very often for complicated immigration matters. He has helped my organization process applications for visas such as TN-1s, H1Bs, B1s and L1s. Scott is very proactive in responding to my questions. He not only prepares our applications/petitions, but his firm also prepares the support letters. I had worked once worked with law firm that offered very little assistance and guidance when it came to support letters. I greatly appreciate his counsel and work!

We decided to do spousal sponsorship, and we found Scott and several alternates on Avvo. From our first conversation, Scott was extremely helpful, his office staff prompt and accurate and we felt our application was in good hands. He walked us through every part of the process, helped rebook us when the interview fell during an international trip and ensured we were prepared. We also hired him to be with us for the interview, which I recommend. His fees were almost the same as others, but the time he spent and info he gave from first phone call was far superior. We called and spoke with several lawyers when we decided to file for a green card. Scott immediately made us comfortable, he took the time to understand our specific situation and discussing the challenges and timelines of the process. He never pressured us but gave us all the information we needed to make decisions. He made sure we had the view of the entire journey and ensured we were prepared for our interview (paperwork we would need, etc) and eased our concerns. He was upfront about the costs and options, what the breakdown of those costs were (what went to the government, what his office charged). He was neither the most expensive nor cheapest but certainly the most valuable. We chose to have him with us on the day of the interview, and I'm glad we made that decision. I am a very DIY and self-sufficient person but knowing we had someone with us who knew what to do if something went wrong was worth every penny. I'd be remiss if I didn't note that Scott is a great person, as well. He is great to deal with, his support team is personable and every contact was very promptly returned. Forget every joke you know about lawyers, and get the best advocate you can for your important immigration process. Thank you Scott and team for all of your help and guidance!
