**Review for Kristina Ivtindzioski, Esq.** I had the absolute pleasure of having Kristina Ivtindzioski represent me in a family matter, and I can confidently say that she is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment she took on my case, I knew I was in the hands of a professional who not only understood the intricacies of the law but also possessed the tenacity, intelligence, and compassion that make for an exceptional lawyer. Over the course of a grueling four-day trial, Kristina was nothing less than a superstar. The way she handled every aspect of the case was reminiscent of the best courtroom scenes you see in movies. Her preparation was meticulous, her arguments were compelling, and her ability to remain calm under pressure was awe-inspiring. Kristina's courtroom presence was commanding, yet she never lost sight of the human aspect of the case, always providing support and guidance when I needed it most. Thanks to Kristina's unwavering dedication and sharp legal mind, we secured a victory that I am incredibly grateful for. If you are looking for a lawyer who will fight for you with every ounce of her being, look no further than Kristina Ivtindzioski. She is truly a rare find and the epitome of what a lawyer should be. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

The amount of stars in sky is not enough to justify how great of a lawyer Kristina Ivtindzioski is. She is very professional and a compassionate person. She explains in detail everything that needs to be done and helps you with anything you need. She always picks up the phone or responds quickly. She treats you like family and not just another case that she is working on. She went above and beyond for me in my case and got even better results then expected. Kristina is truly a lawyer that you could trust and feel confident that she is working on the best interests for you and whatever problems you may have. I am so happy to have met Kristina in my life. You will not be disappointed if you hire her as your lawyer. God bless her. Adam

I have been a client of Kristina C. Ivtindzioski since August 2018. I was injured in 2 separate falls and Kristina has been my attorney for each of these cases. I met with Kristina, first to go over exactly how each accident happened and then for numerous depositions. The cases dragged on because the country was in the middle of the Covid pandemic and the accident cases were not a court priority. During the 5 years since the accidents, Kristina has been on top of the progress of each of the cases and has kept me up-to-date on each case's progress. I’m happy to report that both of these cases have been successfully resolved. Without reservation, I would recommend Kristina C. Ivtindzioski to anyone that needs an exceptional, caring attorney who will be there to work 110% to attain the best possible outcome for you.

Mr. Ackerman was referred to us in a recent residential closing in NJ. We dealt with Shay, Alan's paralegal, for the most part and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Even to the point where, we heard through a third party (after the fact), that she had an important personal matter, she still handled our situation after work hours when she truly did not have to, professionally with resolution. Shay was absolutely amazing, and I recommend Mr. Ackerman's legal assistance because, as a team with Shay, they brought us to a successful conclusion in our closing and we had a flawless experience. I truly could not give Shay more praise for her professionalism and knowledge.

No-nonsense, knowledgeable, and professional are the words I would use to describe Justin. I hired him to defend me in Morris County court over a Contractor/Client dispute. At our first consultation he explained everything to me in detail. The day of court, Justin arrived early to explain what to expect during the proceedings. I did win the judgment and recovered my losses. I could not have done it without his hard work, I highly recommend Justin to anyone looking for a great attorney.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Parsippany, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
