Pros
1
Highly skilled and effective legal representation, able to "eviscerate" opposing experts
“He gutted the plaintiff's expert ,eviscerated him multiple times. They could have made a movie about how it should be done.”
2
Attentive and responsive to client needs, with a studious approach
“Careful, studious and paid attention to my comments.”
3
Knowledgeable and experienced in real estate and estate planning matters
“I have been using David A. Faloni Jr. for over 20 yrs for my Real Estate transactions and Estate planning matters.”
4
Courteous, professional, and helpful staff
“Dave and his staff are super supportive and helpful. Our experience was so great that we are currently using them for our estate planning. Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable.”
5
Smooth and seamless legal processes, especially for real estate transactions
“Closed a deal with clients with this firm. David is very nice but very hands off. They leave Stephanie to do all of the work, and she's not responsive at all.”
Cons
1
Aggressive and unethical collection practices, with some clients reporting harassment
“From my experience Faloni Law associates plays on the edge of the law in regard's to debit collection practices & ethics. Faloni associates are bitterly dishonest, threatening, nasty and manipulative of facts, towards those whom attempt to be helpful or those who are actively working towards debt settlement.”
2
Unresponsive and hands-off approach in some real estate transactions, leading to issues for clients
“They leave Stephanie to do all of the work, and she's not responsive at all. I would not recommend, especially for first time home buyers. Stephanie did not even send the inspection requests because she was on vacation costing my clients to have to deal with the issues on their own.”
3
Difficulty reaching the firm by phone
“Nobody ever answers the phone”

The operator Page is rude and condescending. When I asked her to take my number down she did it in a rude manner and did not even ask for my name.

I'm writing this review to share my experience with Faloni Law Firm. While my initial interaction wasn't positive, Cesar Gonzales completely turned things around. My first call to the firm was met with someone who, unfortunately, came across as rude and unhelpful. It felt like I was dealing with a hitman, not with a debt collector, not someone trying to help me navigate a difficult situation. This left me feeling frustrated and discouraged. Thankfully, when I called back today, I had the good fortune to speak with Cesar Gonzales. He was a breath of fresh air! Cesar was respectful, listened attentively to my situation, and quickly understood my needs. In less than 10 minutes, we were able to accomplish what I'd been hoping for on my first call. Cesar's professionalism and efficiency were a night and day difference from my initial experience. He truly made me feel like he was on my side and working to find a solution. Overall While the first interaction wasn't ideal, Cesar's exceptional service completely changed my perspective on Faloni Law Firm. If you're looking for someone who will treat you with respect and work efficiently to get the job done, ask for this guy, Cesar Gonzales!

My husband and I were very anxious having to refinance our home, but Michael LiPari and all working for him were wonderful. Everyone was friendly, professional and answered all questions, no matter how many we had. I would highly recommend Bond Street Mortgage and Michael LiPari and his team.

Mike and his team were wonderful to work with. Mike was recommended to us by our realtor and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. He made our home purchase a smooth and enjoyable process. He guided us with our purchase, giving us options that we didn't even realize were possible. Without Mike's help, we wouldn't be enjoying our new home. Mike went above and beyond, even coming to us for our first meeting, which was both informative and friendly. Mike's team was easy to work with and kept constant communication throughout the process. We would absolutely use Mike and his team in the future and have already recommended him to family. Thanks, Mike.

Michael LiPari and his team are phenomenal. Michael came as a recommendation to us and we could not have been more grateful for it. He made our first home purchase a smooth and enjoyable process. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of home buying. Additionally, he went the extra mile to accommodate our needs whether is was finance concerns or after hour questions we needed answered. Michael and his team genuinely wanted to make sure we found the right home with the right financing for us. I cannot say enough how much his sincerity and knowledge meant to us as first time home buyers! I would recommend Michael and his team without hesitation and will be using him again for the foreseeable future should we buy another home down the road! Thanks, Mike!

Mr. Mendolsohn was always responsive to my every inquiry in our auto accident lawsuit. He explained each step of the process and negotiated the settlement we hoped to get. He did not look to avoid trial and gave me honest, straightforward information to help guide my decisions. It was a pleasure working with him.

What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Lawyer?

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Roseland, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
