With many attorneys, they cause the problems so when the solve the problem, they look like the hero. In the case of Dave, he just gets the job done without any drama. Buying a home is stressful enough. You do not need your attorney adding more stress. Dave gets you to the finish line in a professional way.

I would hope nobody has to go thru this ever in their lives, but if you need someone who will fight for your rights, these are the attorneys you want on your side. Not only did Sarah fight for me, she was supportive, knowledgeable and efficient. At times they even had to do the other sides work just to facilitate a speedy and cost effective divorce. My ex was a nightmare, but they worked tirelessly, long nights and even weekends, just to get the job done. She was my therapist at times and very understanding of the stress i was going thru. I can never fully express how grateful I am that i had them on my side. Its true, your attorney must take your side but when your ex proves you are in the right its reassuring to know i was believed from the start and eventually vindicated, when no one else was there for me they were. Thank you for all you did. Eternally Grateful Ruth

I retained Heidi Ann Lepp, Esq. to represent me in an unwanted divorce. With that said, Heidi was outstanding in providing me direction and looking out for my best interests during the process. Heidi was direct and to the point when communicating. She fully answered all my questions. When issues arose and there were a few. Heidi was able to defuse the situation quickly and clearly so that all parties were in alignment. I whole heartedly believe that Heidi acted with my best interest and provided me council (Pro's & Con's) when negotiating the final Marital Settlement Agreement. No one wins in a divorce but I personally believe that Heidi helped me get to an equitable and fair settlement.

What makes Mr. Corsini superior above all others is his passion for law and making sure justice is served. Mr. Corsini was quick to get back to me on a time sensitive case and made sure that no stone was left unturned. I've never seen anyone go out of there way to make sure that I was well informed on the matter at hand. Calling, emailing, and even texting me updates to make sure I was in good hands. I will keep Mr. Corsini in my contacts as a lawyer is great is hard to come by.

Mr. Corsini represented me and my running mate in a complicated and time sensitive election law matter in Superior Court in Somerville. He won the case for us, but what I was most impressed with was how accessible he was and his attention to detail. He took the time to meet with us on our schedules, evenings and weekends, and was also available by cell phone. I was surprised when he got right back to me by text message, not something you necessarily expect from an attorney. He schooled the other lawyer in court and brought home a big win for us. I highly recommend him and will definitely use again if ever needed.

Mr Corsini was very professional and what he promised he delivered. After multi negotiations with the insurance company we were able to reach a settlement above and beyond what the insurance company wanted to pay. He also was very attentive to all my request.

I cannot recommend Tiffany Moore highly enough! As a realtor, I've had the pleasure of working with many attorneys, but Tiffany truly stands out as one of the BEST in the business. Recently, we encountered a particularly challenging transaction that seemed nearly impossible to close due to various legal and logistical hurdles. However, Tiffany not only made it happen but did so with incredible skill, determination, and, most importantly, a heart of gold. From the very beginning, Tiffany was proactive, communicated clearly and consistently, ensuring that all parties were well-informed and aligned. When unexpected complications arose, Tiffany quickly devised creative and effective solutions, going above and beyond to protect our client's interests and keep the deal on track. What truly sets Tiffany apart is her genuine care and compassion for her clients. Beyond her legal expertise, Tiffany brings a level of warmth and dedication that is rare to find. She worked tirelessly, often after hours, to ensure that every detail was handled with precision and care. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment were instrumental in successfully closing this deal, which I believe would not have been possible without her involvement. If you're looking for a real estate attorney who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also has a heart of gold, look no further than Tiffany Moore. I am excited to work with her on many more transactions in the future!

Mr. Goldstein is a fantistic lawyer. When I worked with him many years ago, he was upfront about what needed to be done. He returned all my phone calls and helped me understand the situation I was getting myself involved with. Without him, we would not have been able to get back several thousand of dollars for a friend of mine that the bank had said they lost.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Somerville, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
