Very fair with billing will not overcharge you and knows when to fight or fold, he will not mislead you to build his bill.. In court or negotiations he is knowledgeable and intimidating .He will always respond to your calls and never leave you hanging and give you sound advice .Without doubt the best find i have ever made

A few months back my business had an internal dispute between management and a few of our field technicians. Unfortunately this dispute was blown out of proportion to the point that I had to find an attorney to aid us. I must say that I struck gold when I found Kluger Healey out of Red Bank, in particular Bill Healey. He not only got back to me fast but really made me feel that my companies issue was really their own. Just from the responsiveness by way of emails and phone calls from Bill, he was just all over my issue and I am so grateful for his professionalism and his attitude.. Bill showed the same hustle that we show our clients and in this day and age this is a rarity, I was thoroughly impressed. With the help of Bill Healey I was able to resolve my dispute through employment counseling and we were able to avoid a full blown lawsuit which was my ultimate fear. Money can't buy the peace of mind that Bill gave me and I will forever be in his debt. I now think of Bill and the Kluger Healey firm as one of my most valued assets as an Entrepreneur. I simply cannot grow without them. I have worked with a few attorneys throughout my professional career and I have come to this decision. Businesses need attorneys like Bill Healey, he's a fantastic communicator, he speaks in terms that I can understand, no legal jargon. He's prompt, he hustles, and he really made me feel like I was a priority as opposed to many other firms where you speak to an ancient attorney partner who then passes you off to an inexperienced junior attorney simply looking to meet his or her billable quota. Bill is a real advocate and other law firms need to watch and learn. Since working with Bill the first time, we have spoken many times since then as new employee situations arise. He is my personal legal advisor when it comes to employee matters. Every business with employees needs an attorney like Bill Healey. There is simply no other way to grow your businesses successfully without having an attorney like Bill on your side.

William Healey (Bill) has worked with my company offering employment counseling for several years. He is thorough, knowledgeable and keeps me well informed. What I especially like is that he takes the time to understand the intricacies of each situation that we present to him and offers thoughtful actionable advice. In the first case we used him, our former law firm advised us to settle a comp case without contest. Although the case seemed difficult, Bill thought it was important that we offer a vigorous defense. He was right. We won. Over the years, Bill has given us great advise as well as great service and respect. I would trust Bill with any legal question that i may have. If the question I pose to him is not in his area of expertise, he has referred me to a network of excellent attorneys who do.

Eric has been dealing with me for the past 2 and a half years. He was very patient with me and my family while we were in the process of buying a house. Eric was easy to get a hold of, constantly willing to help me with anything I needed and most of all his friendliness and helpfulness made the process go smoothly.

Erik was a valuable asset to have in our corner when my wife and I bought our first home last year. He answered all of our questions without making us feel as inexperienced as we really were. He is great at dealing with people and extremely knowledgeable in his field. Futhermore, he kept us up to date on all of the details and provided us with some peace of mind.

Erik represented me in a real estate transaction earlier this year and I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience. He was not only knowledgeable and professional, but fought to protect my interests on every detail. He was available whenever I had questions, and made sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. There is no question I will call Erik again in the future.

Hey, you drivers out there. I have to say that Joe is amazing at his job in traffic laws. I was just handed a blessing by his representation. I got a ticket last year for a moving violation, and now that moving violation is gone, and I have no points on my CDL A license. Joe presented a stellar case, and the courts just ruled in giving me a small fine of $62.00 with no points allocated to my CDL. Great results, and now I can keep trucking. You guys get with Joe. I've seen him at work. He's the best indeed!

Joseph F. Morgano was there from the first call and he always answered. We never had to worry Mr. Morgano, had been with my son and me all the way to the court date. He was professional, very calm and when the time for my sons court hearing Mr. Morgano got my son out of what could have cost him his license to a no point ticket and a minimal fine. So 5 stars just isn’t enough, I wish I could give Mr. Morgano infinity of stars. We want to just say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tinton Falls, New Jersey?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
