I met with Mrs. Brackin in June of 2014 to discuss the appeal for my disability case denial. I had applied myself the first time around, naively thinking that the process would be fairly simple. The first thing that struck me was that not only was I there to see if I wanted to hire her but she was looking at me to see if she would take on my case. In 2013, I hired Ms Brackin to assist me in applying for Disability. She informed me that its not unusual for these claims to be initially denied. She added that if this occurred, we might be more successful if the case had to be appealed before a judge. Well, the case was denied and we recently appeared before the assigned judge who listened to my appeal. I am extremely happy to report that at this level, we were successful and it was determined that I was eligible to receive full disability going back to 2012! The process took 3 years to complete, but it was well worth it. During this time, Ms Brackin kept me abreast of any communications between herself and the state.
