I was not referred to Andy, I found him on Avvo. I'd searched several attorney-review platforms to find a qualified and a tolerable attorney in a different state to cover a business acquisition. Like most others, Andrew advertises a free consultation. I look at them as matchmaking - both sides are looking for a fit, of the date is not good, there won't be a second one. I reached out to a dozen or so attorneys with fitting profiles; 20% didn't even bother to respond to a contact in time. Of the 80% who contacted back, half went straight to close a sale. Of the rest that listed and gave a consultation, Andrew was a clear winner. Andy did not try to sell, he listened and paid attention, asked more detailed questions than most and offered not only opinions, but did not hesitate to provide constructive criticism.
