I worked with Lawrence Law to resolve a Consent Decree involving my divorce. They were exytremely helpful in guiding me through a highly anxious process. I found the firm's fees to be very reasonable and would highly recommend Lawrence Law.

I worked with Jeralyn and Ashley Edwards for a year and a half trying to divorce my abusive husband. The process was grueling and I didn't find either of them especially helpful in supporting victims of abuse. During my first consult with Ashley, she actually encouraged me to go back to my abusive husband and attempt to work on my marriage. Once I finally made it to mediation, which took over a year, Ashley worked directly with me and pushed me to settle with my husband by paying him a bulk sum to divorce him and waiving my right to a large majority of funds I would be getting with a fair trial. When I refused to do this, as it is nowhere near in the ballpark of reasonable, I was threatened with more legal fees. There were numerous occasions when Ashley and Jeralyn blatantly ignored my requests, didn't advocate for me properly, and allowed me to get steamrolled by my abusive husband's attorney. There were times I wondered if she had even prepped for mediation. Jeralyn and Ashley spent more time arguing with me about the direction and stance I wanted to take in my divorce (they wanted me to offer up everything and settle) than they did actually defending me. If an ounce of the energy that they spent threatening me with legal fees and pushing back on my choices was directed toward actually helping me with what I was asking for, I may have had my divorce finalized sooner. You shouldn't have to teach your attorney to be a strong advocate or to actually listen to you and defend you - that should be included in the price of what you're paying for. When I finally stated I had enough, they made their bill collector call me and demanded immediate payment of a $12,000 invoice that I received only several hours prior. I was up to date on all prior payments, and this is how they acted in the end. It was truly unprofessional. The cherry on top was Ashley making personal comments that I must be unhappy and blaming me for her lack of representation. I’m still shocked an attorney would act this way. Again, the amount of energy they put into pushing back on what I wanted should’ve been channeled in the other direction. I never expected to be treated this way as a client. I do not recommend this law firm.

I hired Ashley Edwards to represent me in my high conflict divorce. I was appalled how my case was handled and how I was treated. I do not recommend this law firm to anyone.

I recently went through a challenging divorce process, and unfortunately, my experience with Jeralyn left much to be desired. I felt compelled to share my experience to help others make informed decisions when choosing legal representation. Throughout the entire process, I found it exceptionally difficult to reach and communicate with Mrs. Lawrence. It would often take up to nine days to get a response to even the simplest questions or concerns I had regarding my case. This lack of accessibility created unnecessary stress and uncertainty during an already emotionally charged time. What compounded the issue was the fact that much of the work and communication on my case was delegated to her paralegal. While I understand that lawyers can have busy schedules, especially when appointed to the NJ bar, it was frustrating to have minimal direct interaction with Jeralyn herself. Effective communication with one's attorney is crucial, and in my case, it was severely lacking. I believe that effective communication is a fundamental aspect of any lawyer-client relationship, especially in such sensitive matters as divorce. In my case, the lack of involvement and responsiveness from Jeralyn significantly hindered the progress of my case and added to my frustration. I would caution anyone considering Jeralyn as their legal counsel to carefully assess their accessibility and willingness to engage with clients promptly. Legal matters can be complex and emotionally draining, and it's crucial to have an attorney who is not only knowledgeable but also accessible and committed to your case. While I cannot speak to Jeralyn's legal expertise, having only worked together 3 months, I believe that transparent communication and active involvement are crucial components of effective legal representation, which, regrettably, I did not experience during my divorce proceedings with her. I hope my feedback helps others in their decision-making process, and I sincerely hope that Jeralyn can improve their accessibility and client communication in the future.

I would like to thank Emily and Jeralyn for the support and help they gave me during the divorce. It was very stressful for me during the divorce. Both Emily and Jeralyn were there for me. Emily answered any questions that I had very truthfully. I was told all the messages that occurred between her and my ex-wife’s attorney. Good Lawyers, if you are going for a divorce, and most importantly, after the divorce. When times were tough, they were just a phone call away.

This law firm is bad and awful. Jeralyn Lawrence kept charging me every month for supposed conferencing with other lawyers. While this is legal, it is an unethical thing to do. I would avoid this law firm at all costs. By conferencing with other attorneys she is using up the retainer more quickly. Jeralyn was suppose to provide proof of service after she served my wife's lawyer and she never did and a result my case was dismissed and I had to refile with another lawyer. Jeralyn had two conversations with my wife's attorney that she never told me about until I inquired about it. But she felt the need to charge for it. Then when I had a problem with the bill, I had to do it in writing. Jeralyn also had conversations with my wife's parents which she was not supposed to do either and still charged for it. I had an agreement drawn up with this law firm and it was filled with mistakes and they charged for their mistakes and charged to correct this mistakes. Avoid this law firm at all costs.

The non custodial parent has not paid child support in almost a year, won't respond to phone calls or letters. Reached out to Lawrence Law and they were able to send me helpful articles for next steps, despite being outside my state. Thank you for listening.
