I go here for a divorce lawyer and so far so good, everything was explained to me in easy to understand term and they make me feel welcomed as I go through my divorce.

I cannot explain the amount of flexibility this place can offer you, it was a horrible experience for 5 years of my life battling my VA stuff on top of dealing with my divorce. I kept having things pushed back when it came to arranging payments with the firm that were completely out of my control. Marla Clark, their Chief Financial Officer was the saving grace from the horrible stress I was under. Not only does she go above and beyond with helping making things be affordable for me, she made me feel as though she was on my side in making sure the balanced I owed did not affect me negatively. She helped me every step of the way and all she asked in return was just communication. I cannot put into words how grateful I was to have her helping me through this process. The legal team they have there is beyond amazing as well. These guys understand the struggles we divorce dads go through and ensure we have the legal representation that we deserve. Thank you NMLG and you are very lucky to have not only an outstanding legal team but, by far the best Chief Financial Officer!!!

Mr. Mcdougal and his team are superb! They made a naturally difficult life experience better with their attention to detail and down to earth human approach. Mr. Mcdougal is highly intelligent and can manage complex issues yet can speak to the average persons, like us, and guide us fairly and logically. The mediation process was ideal for our situation and Mr. Mcdougal was able to ensure that everyone left the negotiations with a fair outcomes for both parties. I hope to never be in this situation again in my life, but im glad I chose NM Legal Group. Sometimes you get lucky and this was the time!

Intial call was very positive so I paid for the attorney consultation. I explained what I wanted and gave all info and things looked positive. Downhill after that-It started out by the group not filling they were my attorney so they were not getting court updates. I sent many emails to the legal group to no responses. At one point I canceled a phone call and attorney still called me and I was charged. I had questions about the bill and I asked for an explanation to no response. On one court date I was not notified about court until 2 hours before court. On that court I had proof that accusations were false and attorney just recommended I settle. I feel like he never looked at my proof. On final court attorney calls me two days before and said he will not present to the judge my case that i hired him to do. This is after thousands of dollars later. We never discussed nor was i asked about what documents photos, witness list i had. The attorney gave me information 2 minutes before court which he withheld and I could easily have proved it false information, but he withheld it. I feel like the attorney grabbed my file 2 minutes before he called me and filed it away after we hung up. I feel like my case was never looked at it in-between. On the very end the motion signed by judge had many things added that was not discussed with me nor would I have approved of.

My experience working with New Mexico Legal Group for a revision of child custody was an absolute nightmare. In a matter of 2.5 months, they billed me over $20K... and it wasn't a terribly complicated case. When I was reviewing invoices, I found one of their attorneys double-billed me for their time, to the tune of almost $500. The billing department did remove the charge when I reached out, but when individuals are charging $350 an hour, they should be diligent in charging that time to their clients correctly. After all of that money, my attorney handed me off to another attorney named Mark, for my hearing, and he was so wildly unprepared despite billing me over $3K to prepare for the hearing. He barely responded to the hearing officer (who refused to review the evidence) or came to my aid, which resulted in my hearing being dismissed with prejudice. In my opinion, I would have been infinitely better off without any attorney at all. I can only speak to the two attorneys I worked with (Susan and Mark), but they did more harm than good and charged me a fortune in the process.

Do not count on new mexico legal group, they will push your court case on. They had my case and failed it, it was a simple family case. All this group is, is money hungry. This was the worst mistake iv ever made.

I would not recommend New Mexico Legal Group. My ex-husband and I used them for our legal separation. We paid them all of the fees and met with them. A few years later I contacted them with a question about the document that they drew up. No one would help me unless I paid them more money for another legal consultation (it doesn't matter that they were already paid for the document I was inquiring about), and whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. They do not care about their clients and it is all about the money for them.

Awful. Darin was awful. Unless you like them billing you $3500 a week for some texts and emails trying to get a straight answer from them. All it was was just stringing me along and setting up my ex-husband for success. These attorneys never filled me in on certain things that my ex-husband was doing for example my ex changed my daughter‘s elementary school without my knowledge. My attorney knew but I didn’t. Felt the Darin McDougal did not have my back and was more siding with opposing counsel. I cannot stress to you how overpriced these folks are. Good luck ever getting a response back the only response I got was a bill! And then when he realized he was failing and could do no more and this case was just out of his jurisdiction basically he decided he didn’t wanna be my attorney any longer and gave me a day to find a new one. Awful attorneys!

From the moment of my first inquiry call to the positive outcome of my case, the NM Legal Group was completely supportive of our situation and needs. Our team was personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. There was never a time where I felt that my case wasn't a priority.
