I really can't say enough about our experience with Emma Whitley and New Mexico Legal Group. We had a difficult custody case with many twists and turns, and Emma stayed rock solid and on-the-ball throughout. She is poised, thorough, professional, caring, and an excellent attorney in the courtroom. At the start, we were informed of the expected costs and procedures accurately. Emma communicated clearly and was responsive to all of our emails. We felt that our case was getting the attention needed, without any excessive waste of time/money. We were given options and not pressured into any choices, just given straight-forward facts about what the likely outcomes could be. In the courtroom, Emma was eloquent and argued our case cheerful determination. She handled surprises and drama with calm assurance. Even when confronted with personal verbal attacks from the opposing party, she retained her upbeat, respectful demeanor. Legal issues are stressful enough; make sure you get an attorney that you can trust. We are so grateful to have found Emma and can not recommend her highly enough.

I interviewed several firms and liked the fact that David talked my out of getting divorced the first time as my kids were small. The second time NMLG helped make the experience as non-confrontational as possible. Recommendations were made such paying some alimony so my ex couldn't come after a much larger # if she lost her job/business, which I am grateful to not have to worry about future events that I have no control over. They even came in over the holidays when they were short staffed to get the papers printed and signed once the decision had made. I was looking for a lawyer who would do a reasonably-priced, fast, professional uncontested divorce that included child support and custody arrangements, and New Mexico Legal Group was a great choice for that. It cost ~$2,000, and was done within 4 weeks. David did a great job - from the 1-on-1 consultation where the terms of the divorce were customized for our situation to timely handling of the paperwork and filing of the divorce. I would recommend them to anyone looking for legal counsel for a similar sort of situation.
