Darlene is one of the worst Guardian ad litems. I was a former client of Darlene and she did not listen to any of my words and she only met with me for the first couple of months that I was with these Guardians who were ex Neighbors.She only listened to what the Guardians wanted to do with us as well as she never looked into our well-being she always said we were fine when we were not.We were actually very depressed and we had a lot of mental problems from being separated from our birth mom. The neighbors psychologically abused us, threatened that they were going to put my brother and I in a mental institution when we did anything wrong that the guardians didn't like.The guardian also physically abused us and not caring if we were hurt in the end of it.We were also medically neglected and we were told if we broke or lost anything that we would not be getting it back such as hearing aids, retainers, medication.Darlene also talked very poorly about me in court.Instead of trying to consult me or even find me when the Guardians threw me out of their household she decided that she was going to listen to the Guardians and say in court that "I ran off with 2 or 3 guys, doing God knows what".What was Darlene insinuating about her former client that was then just a child?A guardian ad litem is appointed by the court to represent the best interests of a child in legal proceedings. They gather information, advocate for the child's needs, and make recommendations to the court. They're like a voice for the child. The best interests of a child is to be with family, Darlene didn't contact any family members and actually separated us from our entire family. Now my brother and I are separated because of this case and the actions of Darlene. Darlene didn't gather any information instead she just spoke to the Guardians and made assumptions that our best interest was to be stuck with these total strangers, she rarely spoke to us, the children. She was never a voice to us she was only a voice for the Guardians to keep us away from our mom and our family. My whole family is now destroyed from Darlene doing her job improperly. I was forced into the Guardians house in 2018 and stayed until 2022 when the Guardians finally decided to give me back to my birth mom. I wonder when why they gave me back to my mom but not my little brother when they thought it was safe enough for me to go back, family should be with family no matter what and Darlene destroyed my family. When we were children my birth mom gave us everything, she worked her butt off to give us the world. There was no sick days as a single mom there was no breaks she had to constantly be there for us no matter what, even when she was sick no matter what. She got us our school supplies when we needed them, she got us clothes whenever we needed them, we always had our mouths full of food and we had water every single day. There was nothing my mother did wrong and if Darlene would have done her job properly she would have found out and gave us back to our birth mom but instead Darlene left us in a house where we faced so many different kinds of abuse from our neighbor's when we should've been protected at home by our loving mom. I am now 19 and I'm still separated from my little brother but back with my mom. I am so happy that I'm back with my mom because now I can live freely without no judgment, without no fear, without anybody abusing me. I am finally somewhere where somebody could love me for who I am and for what I do in this world. I would warn anybody in the future that looks into this, I would advise you not to hire her. Because of Darlenes decision for us to be placed with ex neighbor's, my brother and i attempted suicide multiple times. She didn't check in and I believe she didn't even know. There are no words to describe the trauma my brother and I have endured the entire time she managed our case. I now have PTSD and anxiety attacks from what I had to go through.My brother has anger issues as well as other issues that he didnt have before Is this in a childs best interest

Unethical unprofessional bais. Violates state and federal laws to win a case at all costs. Even if it means destroying families and lives. Failing to report changes in a case to favor "the best interests of children". Darlene is unfit to practice and fails to fulfill necessary duties required of her. Darlene has literally ignored evidence provided to her which she requested then comitted perjury in court multiple times. Please let me know if you have had a similar experience with this firm.

Hands down best family lawyer in town. Their office is right across the street from the jail so they have a good relationship with the judges and lawyers.
