My career has involved working with attorneys and various law firms for the last 18 years. However, about a year ago I needed legal representation. I had a never-ending divorce with an ex-husband born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I was struggling financially & needed help. I met with Sarah from Advanced Legal Resolutions (ALR) dumping a 4 year mess in her lap. She & her staff have been my blessing. I have never felt more secure in being able to unconditionally trust anyone as I have with ALR. She was able to identify the issues & quickly address them in the courts. She caring & passionate about her clients & the outcome of her cases. I have talked to her as well as her staff after working hours & on the weekends. There are few law firms that have the morals & work-ethic as ALR. If there is anyone that has a different opinion, then they have to be the type of people that will never be happy with any service. I highly highly recommend this law firm!

Custody battles are some of the hardest things to face in life. Single parents, do not go in alone and do not be afraid of someone manipulating you or your children. Help is out there. My biggest regret was not filing as soon as possible. Please don’t wait. If you do, so much goes missed and dismissed. Sarah is someone you can trust and give all the info to for everything you need. She will help you with any anxiety going into court and remember to never make a decision without her consent so she can fight for the best outcome possible. She has always been a text or a phone call away for me. She has been representing me for two years now. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I got this office as a reference for a practice that is lgbtq conscious. I read their reviews and from the first contact I've felt very taken care of and at ease. Sarah is an incredible mother and that translates to her fierce fight for children's needs. I had a pretty complicated family law case that involved a federal agent who seemed to continuously get away with inappropriate behavior. Her official tackled this head on without the fear I had and it was so empowering. They communicated exceptionally well through the entire process. I would definitely use this practice again as my first choice in the state of NM. Rest assured putting your trust in Sarah's hands will be worth it!

I’m the type of person that is able to figure how to do most things on my own, but I’m so glad that I hired Mrs. Van Cott because she did things that I would never have thought to or known how to do. When I was trying to do everything myself, the whole process was so confusing. It was such a relief to have someone else to file the paperwork, communicate with the court, communicate with my ex, know what questions to ask, and know what evidence to submit and how to submit it. It was also really convenient to have access to all of our documents and the court’s documents in the online portal she uses. She was able to get me majority custody of my child, with my ex only being able to have them 3 weekends a month. This was better than I expected, because even though my ex was terrible, I didn’t have a ton of proof to back it up. My whole case relied on the few pictures and doctor’s notes I was able to provide, but mostly the questions Mrs. Van Cott knew to ask. My court appearance was done over video due to us being in different towns, and Mrs. Van Cott noticed almost immediately after we started that someone was in the room with my ex. I hadn’t heard or seen anything, but sure enough he had had our child in the room with him. I couldn’t believe she had noticed that, and I’m so lucky she did because of course I wouldn’t have wanted my child to hear anything being discussed. The judge was very upset at my ex for doing this, so I also believe that this incident provided further proof of the type of person he is. Overall, I’m very happy with the service and results Mrs. Van Cott was able to provide.

Sarah Van Cott is amazing. She is wonderful to work with and I felt most comfortable explaining my situation. She did her best to reassure the legal steps I could take and rights I had. She made sure in the consultation I understood everything and answered all my questions.

She changes to much and she didn't even pay attention and she was on her phone the whole time I was in my meeting. Would not use her as a lawyer.
