This attorney helped me in a difficult situation. She gave me a voice when I didn't have one and my ex was trying to take advantage of me and had my family lie in court. I feel Mrs. Van Cott did an excellent job in court and helped shine the light on the truth.

Sarah is a strong voice in the courtroom. I've had a difficult time with being heard when I was pro se. Sarah not only presents a strong defense but she boldly voices her disapproval for the injustices that are taking place at the hands of judges and others acting as arms of the court. This is a quality we need to see more of especially in family court.

She will take your money and run. She only went to court for me once. She missed the filing date to dispute custody had me send her repeadtly the same items i already sent. I found out about filings when i did case look ups and not from her and had to confront her about it. While in court she text me asking me what to say . Then charged me 10,000, talked to my ex behind my back telling him she was resigning vut told me she was my lawyer and would never do that had me write a good review for her and just quit a few days before my trial. And she has the nerve to still be trying to charge my old account.

Now a days nobody wants to work during this time due to COVID. Even with short staff, Ms. Van Cott has work really hard through this time of COVID and holidays for my daughter's and I. She has been very responsive and supportive. I personally keep in mind that I am not the only client of hers and she has to attend to other clients and cases. I definitely would recommend Advanced Legal Resolutions!

I do not recommend Sarah VanCott. After extensive delays and excuses, I had to hire another attorney to correct the mistakes she made on the paperwork that was filed with the courts.

Since I met Sarah apx. 2 years ago her drive to serve families in need of protection through legal action has been apparent. Initially, she realistically explained my legal rights and was sensitive to the financial ramifications of custody disputes. She informed me of her desire to reach families that might otherwise not be able to afford legal representation. As I have become better acquainted with her we have realized we share a a common passion to assist youth suffering from mental health disorders. As a psychiatric registered nurse I routinely witness families in acute mental health crisis. Family dynamics are often the problematic factor contributing to the deterioration of mental health in teens. Unfortunately, my own child suffered a mental health crisis that was unnoticed by her other parent. Sarah was able to act immediately to protect the safety of my children and made sure their exposure to a toxic environment was limited for the long term. I was lucky that I had a custody case established with Sarah when my crisis occured. This provided me quick access to legal guidance when I needed to protect my child. Other families experiencing an acute crisis would greatly benefit from access to professional legal guidance when seeking to protect vulnerable youth. Sarah is aware of the legal issues families experiencing crisis may experience. She is able to anticipate actions that need to be implemented in a timely manner. She will work after hours and has access to professionals that may be needed to implement court orders or file motions swiftly. In my own situation she maintained contact with me until my children were within my possession even though that wasn't until apx 11 pm. She also followed up with me the next morning. I highly recommend her services.

Due to staffing and COVID issues there has been a real lack of response. I was asked to send an email with updates only to find I was charged for the email. I hired the office to assist me in having my pets returned from an abusive ex, and found my lawyer asking if I shouldn't just let it be since my ex had a rough year. While I appreciate compassion, I found this whole process frustrating and discouraging. I requested the remainder of my retainer over a month ago, and I am still waiting. Until this office gets their staffing in order, I cannot recommend.

I called for a free consultation as they advertised on their website, was told by the answering person that their website is NOT UP TO DATE ON CURRENT INFORMATION AND RATES, AND THAT THEY DON'T OFFER FREE CONSULTATIONS AT ALL. THE ANSWERING PERSON WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

I am very thankful for Sarah and the work that she completed for my case. With Sarah’s help I was able to get custody of my children whom she genuinely cared about. She communicated with me often and made herself available at all times.
