I had my reservations about obtaining a lawyer. As we all know, Lawyers are expensive and the court appearance's can drag on for months and even years due to one thing or another. I was highly dissatisfied with my court appointed public defender, so i began to "shop" around for the right legal representation. I had many intake calls with different firms, firms that requested money down just to talk with them in intake to see if I wanted to hire them !! The Colwell law group by far was the easiest and most reassuring that I spoke with. They assured me that they would treat my case as if it were their own and they did fight for me with a knock out in the third round! Ding Ding!! I had the pleasure of being represented by a young gentleman by the name of Anthony M. Sokolowski. Again, I had reservations as he is much younger than I am and fresh out of law school. Fears of loosing my hearing due to inexperience and having high expectations I was doubtful at first. Despite my reservations and fears not only was Anthony extremely knowledgeable and professional he was also kind hearted and hilarious. Not only was he upfront and honest about my expectations but guided me through the entire process and today we closed the case with everything I could have asked for minus some rose colored glasses expectations. Anthony was relatable and has a great sense of humor to lighten the mood on those days when I felt like I was about to loose everything. He knows the law and consulted me every step of the way making sure I understood and agreed upon what was being said. E-mail after e-mail and many phone calls over the few months I have learned a great deal from Mr. Sokolowski. I feel confidant in the end result and satisfied with my legal representation. I highly recommend the Colwell law firm to anyone who has to go through the stress of divorce and/custody cases. The entire office is friendly and helpful. My mother always said "You get what you pay for" and Anthony's representation for the Colwell law firm was well worth every penny. A real 5 star dining experience and price with a "have it your way" experience. What I thought would last for over a year was over in a few short months thanks to Anthony and the Colwell team. I am forever grateful and kept some $ on retainer in case I need their services again!
