Would give no stars, but that's not an option. I feel they thought my case would be simple (though I walked in telling them it wouldn't before even retaining). I chose them. I read the reviews, and I was horrified by my experience. They did NOTHING but hemorrhage money on me, they got NOTHING accomplished, and belittled my case! They do not respond to emails or voicemails, and then have the audacity to charge for multiple emails when there would have only been one had they answered questions the first time. I have gotten more done in a week with my new lawyer then they did over the entirety of the time I was with them and spent considerably less money. Additionally, the ONLY bill I received (even after asking for them repeatedly) was after I switched lawyers and got the piddly little sum back. I do not feel they had the compassion I needed, nor were they able to roll with how much my case changed and how fast. I was up front that this would be the case, and it still seemed to come as a surprise. If you have a case that is not cut and dry, no complications, I do NOT suggest them.

Kaitlyn was my attorney. She was very knowledgeable on family law and knew the answers to all of my questions and concerns. She also was familiar with my judge and my son's attorney which ended up being very helpful and got us out of the court system that much faster because she knew exactly what to expect from them.

Terrible experience. Money is their main focus, not the best interests and welfare of their client. Ineffective, disorganized, and poor follow through. I would not recommend.

My experience with The Colwell Law Group has been fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and responsive, not to mention caring. I would recommend them to anyone.

Would give ZERO stars but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest google allows. So I was a client of theres back in 2017, and they just wanted to keep billing me invoices, and got absolutely no where with my divorce case. I spent a year calling them to continue to see what would be the next step if we went forward, all I got was "we will have someone give you a call back as soon as they are available" but I NEVER got a call back, I would have to call in and hear the same response. So fast forward to 2019, I called them back to rehire them being that they are familiar with my case, and they actually declined to help me which is extremely unprofessional. So, to sum up this review, if you need a divorce lawyer, you'll have way better luck doing it yourself or going with any other attorney. Believe me, save your money, they are just great at painting a picture of success to you in the beginning and most of their money goes to purchasing ink to mail out invoices and paying their secretary's to take phone calls, not to getting your your adequate settlement.

Beware if you ever authorize a payment for ANYONE at this group. Apparently, Kara thinks it’s legal to automatically charge credit cards without legal authorization to their clients accounts. After I had to educate this law firm employee on the legality and ramifications of her actions she reversed the charge. As a disabled veteran and single mother, I am disgusted at the flipent and nonsensical response I received from this individual. Now I have to wait for my money to be returned to me! Saying they would cover fees incurred if anything bounces or doesn’t go through. This inappropriate behavior could damage an innocent individuals credit. Beware!

I gave one star because that’s as low as you can give. No lie, I would have gotten a better divorce settlement if I’d gone in with no lawyer at all. I’m trying to get my support I pay to the other parent reduced even though I have our daughter 100% of the time. My new lawyer looked at my settlement and couldn’t believe how bad it was. One thing you will not get from these people is legal advice. They’ll spend your life savings sending meaningless letters back and forth and will give you zero strategic advice. Ive left two other reviews that were deleted. I guess we’ll see if this one makes it. The only person I’d recommend them to is my ex wife since they did such great work on her behalf.

I am extremely happy with the service of the Colwell Law Group Joseph was my attorney and was in frequent contact with me kept me well informed when I had a question he got back to me very quickly the whole staff has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable I can't thank them enough and would highly recommend them
