Derek is definitely the guy ,he been keeping me updated with everything so far can't complain, got good news today, hopefully it keeps getting better.

They are very nice and polite and my attorney got my fines reduced for me .My Atorrney was very helpful, I would recommend them over anyone for a dwi !!!

My father did his estate planning with Ettinger, so when he passed away, I (as his executor) worked with them. (I live in another state, and am therefore unfamiliar with New York law, and New York lawyers.) POSITIVES: 1) Their fee (1% of estate value) seems to be on par with industry standards. 2) They had helped my father to simplify his estate, by putting all his assets in trust. This made my job much easier! NEGATIVES: 1) Not being either a financial or legal expert myself, I was rather disconcerted when they gave me advice (regarding my father's brokerage account) that directly contradicted the advice I was given by my father's financial advisor -- who should I believe? 2) I was underwhelmed by the paralegal, who on a number of occasions seemed unprepared for conversations with me that she herself had initiated (e.g., not knowing the dollar amounts of the bequests my father made to my children). 3) There were some instances where the attorney and/or paralegal neglected to tell me something significant, and I later obtained the information only because I asked specific questions. At the end of the day, I just felt that they didn't work very hard for the considerable amount of money that they were paid. My only basis of comparison is the estate-planning attorney I worked with in my own home state, who was a veritable fountain of information and guidance.
