Jane Hughes, you convinced me to give Diane Tiveron's firm $3500 to retain your expertise in divorcing my passive aggressive, covertly narcissistic husband and you abandoned me without one word. Where did you go Jane? I made it very clear to you that I am disabled, unemployed and on my last few dollars to pay my mortgage, but I needed your expertise and I needed you on my side. And then you disappeared. You took the time to contact my probono attorney to obtain my file, but did no other work in the months that I was waiting to hear from you. I sent an email inquiry and after waiting a week to hear back I received a call from some guy. Did it ever occur to you that the abusive relationship I have been trying to survive in and get out of would make me uncomfortable with a man as my counsel? In my experience, you lack the sensitivity and empathy needed to truly care about and stand up for abused women. I am now in a battle with Diane Tiveron as she seems to believe I do not deserve a refund. Diane became so angry when I fired her after the child she assigned to me forgot all about our scheduled appointment. Why did you convince me to give up my probono attorney knowing full well you would not be around to fulfill your obligation to me? Why Jane? You took my money and my probono attorney and I continue to be trapped in this marriage that is literally making me closer to homelessness with each passing day. I can't even hire another attorney because Diane Tiveron won't refund my money. Thank you so much Jane Hughes-you really are a great attorney. If being an attorney means hurting people rather than helping them. Great work.
