Mr. Elias Malikouzakis was recommended by our realtors to handle the sale of our two-family house in Astoria. We had not sold a house before, so at our first meeting, Elias spent an hour explaining details of the entire process. He was friendly and approachable from the first; he treated us like real people and put no walls between us. And he was quite willing to conduct a sale with owners who lived several states away. During the three months between our meeting and the final closing, Elias was responsive at all times, including during a family vacation in July. When we had a problem or question about facts or figures, he was quick to respond with clarifications, by phone and e-mail. He worked straight through several weekends to solve potentially serious problems and to maintain continuity of the process, and was unfailingly polite and cheerful even as we were increasingly worried and fatigued. Elias represented me in a real estate transaction, the sale of my uncle's home in Queens. To begin, Elias was highly recommended by my real estate agent and others in the brokerage office for his professionalism, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. I was concerned about the transaction because I live in Virginia, my uncle lives in New Jersey and my uncle granted me Power of Attorney (POA) to conduct his affairs. Being unfamiliar with New York real estate transactions, Elias explained the process, what I should expect, his role and the cost. It was determined that the title company required specific language in the POA document to execute the sale. The fact that I am in Virginia, my uncle is in New Jersey and the sale was in New York never became an issue. All communication was clear, timely and never discouraged.
