My husband and I retained Ms. Arevalo for both a custody and child support case. We had dealt with 3 other attorneys in which we were very unhappy with, prior to Ms. Arevalo being recommended to us. My case: I am active duty military (US.NAVY), have served 17 years, currently living and station on a ship in Naval Station Norfolk VA. I have been station oversea, and deploy and never missed a child support payment, the child’s mother took all contact away trying to separate me from the child and now trying to take sole custody of him. Ms. Belinda Arevalo was sent into my life at the most traumatic point. My peace, in the newest part of my life with my child, was interrupted one night when an officer knocked on my door and served me with a Writ of Habeas Corpus. It stated that I had to return to my previous home state, with my child, within 24 hours or I would be arrested. After legally relocating, I was completely distraught to even think I had broken the law but to an even greater degree, that my child’s life will have to be uprooted again.
