Anyone can tell you the law but the law does not always determine the outcome of a case or the practicality of even filing one. Eliot views things in a more practical and realistic way rather than an idealistic recitation of law that would apply in a perfect, altruistic Court system, which seems to be the way most lawyers on Avvo answer questions.
