I'm a NY Realtor and have closed a few deals with the Carofano Team representing buyers and sellers. Joe is my go-to attorney when I have clients that need an attorney that's proactive and knowledgeable in real estate law. Joe and his team always responds quickly to client inquiries as well as my own questions. Joe is also an expert on the VA Loan process and I've learned quite a bit from closing deals with him and his team. I went to sign contract today. You figure for a $3000 Closing Fee, I deserved a token appearance from Mr. CARAFANO. The young woman who interviewed me needs to work on her communication skills. Her demeanor was cold and unresponsive. It did not seem like I had someone working on my side.

I signed on with Carofano in June of 2021. It took a few deals and 13 months to close. None of which was the fault of Carofano. But as time went on and a couple of deals didn't go through, I found Joe and the lawyer assigned to my file, Margie, became disinterested. I asked numerous times for updates on processes and either was blown off or not answered at all. I continuously asked Margie if she needed any information from me. Again either blows you off or not answers at all. I get a call from Margie less then a week before the closing asking me if I have a water account. Really? I had to wonder if this was her first closing. At the closing I got Joe Carofano. A very nice man, but again lack of information. When we started the process I asked about his fee and I was informed that it was $2,200. At the closing it was $3,500. I understand that I was being charged for the deals that did not come to fruition, but at no time during 13 months did anyone ever contact me and inform me that things would change and the fee would be higher. I have no problem paying the bill, but I begged for information and to kept in the loop. When I confronted Joe with that fact I get the indignant look. Don't you think if you are going to charge someone an additional $1,300 you may want to let them know? If you are looking for any sort of customer service, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Five months after my closing, I am still getting delinquent water bills from the previous address. Still trying to get Carofano to do the job that they charged $3500 for. Pathetic...

Mr. Bernstein was referred to me by my best friend. I interviewed 3 attorneys, but hired Mr. Bernstein because he seemed the most knowledgeable and had a plan. Mr. Bernstein explained everything to me about the long, difficult and emotional process. Although the divorce was difficult, with Mr. Bernstein's guidance, my divorce was less emotional. My settlement was fair and Mr. Bernstein's bill was also fair.

Mark helped me out with a last-minute agreement, he was able to facilitate my needs in a timely and professional manner. He even took plenty of time to answer any questions I had and explain everything to me. I would highly recommend using his services.

amazing experience with not only joe but his amazing receptionist who i believe is anna! joe is attentive and does not sleep on and issue. anna is goal oriented and is amazingly courteous with all patrons. they even speak italian 😬
