Attorney failed to provide explanation of fees, required high upfront retainer, failed to provide itemized accounting of costs, neglected to provide any court hearing paperwork, and refuses to account for or return unspent retainer after numerous requests.

Attorney Richard Batelman and his staff not only met but exceeded my expectations. Having been introduced to his office via referral by the Brooklyn Bar Association, I too would now highly recommend him and his support staff. Both the strengths and weaknesses of my rent-dispute case were explained, thereby allowing me to weigh the risks against the potential rewards of going to full trial versus settling. Subsequent to an agreement by both adversarial parties on terms to resolve our dispute, Batelman remained engaged throughout the follow-through process to ensure that the agreed-upon terms were properly enacted. In conclusion, Batelman and his staff impressed me as professional, knowledgable and cordial. My experience was a positive one.

We hired Mr. Batelman to help us mediate with and eventually evict one of the worst tenants we have ever seen.
