I had successfully run my business for 15 years, all of them profitable and without any loans or paying a penny in interest. Then lock-downs came and I had a figurative gun to my head: either take on debt in the form of an EIDL from the SBA or watch my cash reserves continue to dwindle without knowing when I'd be able to operate again. I chose the former, and it kept me alive and allowed me to retain my excellent staff. Now the bill is due and we're still only at 50% of where we were before (even with most of the competition already out of business) and inflation has hit us hard. The government couldn't care less about the situation they put people like me in, they just want all their money back or else.
