Overall, my family appreciates Gary's legal knowledge in eldercare and his flexibility meeting my family converging from different states at his office on a Saturday. Gary's office is on the second floor of a two story building however there is an elevator...very convenient for the elderly. Gary is professional and I will be returning to use his services in the future when needed.

Gary Melamed was referred to my family to assist in getting my Mother onto Medicaid by arranging for the structure of a Pool Trust, Irrevocable Trust, Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy, etc. His knowledge and professionalism gave us all a level of comfort and his follow up of the situation was greatly appreciated, knowing the red tape involved in getting it done correctly. I had an issue how a revocable trust was formed and was denied a HELOC on the property that was a part of the trust. While the bank did provide the reason for denial, it was not clear as to where the actual issue was. I've called 3 attorneys and they told me that taking the property out of the trust was my only option. Doing that was defeating the purpose as to why the trust was formed in the first place, but it seemed I had no choice. I've decided to call a few more attorneys just to find out what their rates were before deciding which attorney to hire. When I called Gary, explained what I wanted him to do and asked what his rates were, his response was - "I can certainly help you, but doing this does not make any sense to me." He asked me a good number of questions and in 5 minutes time he figured out the exact problem, explained what had to be done in order to resolve the issue AND keep the property in the trust. Needless to say, I hired Gary and am very happy I did that - the HELOC was approved yesterday and the property is still a part of the trust. If you need an attorney who will analyze the issue, come up with options and help you pick the one that works best for you - Gary is the attorney to go to, I highly recommend him.
