One of my retired indecisive relatives asked me find an experience Russian speaking attorney who specializes in estate planning and wills. While there are many attorneys in these areas of law, I needed to find the one who would be able to explain to my relative and I similar information multiple times. So, as usual I checked reviews on google, made bunch of calls and then visited around six Russian-speaking attorneys in Shepheard Bay and Brighton Beach area. Since my relative had a complicated estate planning and Will that involved sizable part of her estate to be donated to two major universities, we decided to hire Inna Fershteyn or as my relative called her "Innochka" :-) once we got acquainted… Inna is an excellent attorney with great sense of humor. She is very patient and I guess she understands that not all people can comprehend information after hearing it just once. Inna took extra time to listen what my relative wanted and then explained to her various approaches in estate planning, especially one related to the donation to universities. Inna’s office space is very clean, and her staff were eager to help us with questions we had prior and after meeting Inna. Finally, my relative, who taught music at graduate level classes back in USSR, and Inna ended up speaking about music for almost 2 hours. It was interesting to find out that Inna is a pianist and she enjoys classical music.

Because of changing circumstances, I needed  expert estate planning advice.  Through my research and referrals, one name kept popping up - the Law Office of Inna Fershteyn and Associates, PC - so I made an appointment.  During a very pleasant interview, Ms. Fershteyn delved into my desires and intent, while explaining the reasons for each question.  After discussing several alternatives, Ms. Fershteyn determined that a revocable trust together with a living will plus power of attorney were best suited to accomplish my present goals rather than a last will and testament.  (No other attorney had presented me with that alternative.).  Ms. Fershteyn carefully and fully explained how each instrument operated and patiently answered all  questions.  In addition, Ms. Fershteyn introduced me to and arranged for a consultation with David Gulyamov, wealth manager with GGW Financial Group, to discuss methods of funding the trust and alternative investments.  I was so impressed with Ms. Fershteyn's legal advice and service that I brought another person with me to consult with her after I executed my trust. I wholeheartedly recommend Inna Fershteyn for her legal expertise and ethics!
