I had the pleasure of being counseled by Kaitlyn Hoerner this past year during a very difficult custody battle. I was previously represented by a very experienced attorney in my previous custody battle and I felt this time around my representation was much more "on the ball". My attorney was passionate, engaged and immediately available for questions via email or text. I had a rough situation and I truly expected not much in success, but I was dead wrong. Even when I started to lose faith, my attorney never gave up. I had the attorney for my child, the assessor, and even my daughter's educator all suggesting I have less time with my daughter. Couple that with some legal issues I've had, and I was looking at almost certain loss of custody. It was a very stressful year and I had many nights thinking I wasn't going to keep my custody, something no single parent wants to contemplate. In the end, my attorney was able to get the other party to agree to a new arrangement, but one where I wouldn't lose any time. In short, it was pretty much a miracle for that to happen. But I was represented by the correct counsel. So my advice to any parents, but especially dads, is to take your custody battle serious and to obtain quality counsel. There is absolutely no substitute for a quality firm that has your best interests at hand. I was only on site a couple of times, but the staff was always welcoming, professional and courteous. I hope that I'm done with family court for the next 9 years until my child is an adult, but if I need counsel again, there's absolutely no other firm I want to contact for the job. Side note: There was much done on this case behind the scenes via remote video calls, conferences, etc. that was all done during the pandemic and when meeting in person was difficult. The staff worked just as hard if not harder due to these issues. I want to thank my attorney, and the staff for how well they handled changes and adjustments to scheduling, revised petitions, etc. TY so much for all you for my household.

My experience with Amy was wonderful, she was the only public defender I’ve had out of the 3 I’ve had that has genuinely cared about me, showed empathy, compassion, and went out of her way on multiple occasions to ensure I was being treated with the highest dignity and respect through the courts. She was always incredibly responsive, supportive and encouraging for me. As a public defender, she can only do so much, I had to put in work and do my part to ensure my case could be completed & closed successfully, and even through the mistakes I would make in my time with her, she never gave up hope in me and always let me know she would help me through anything as-long as I kept trying.

I have really great experience with Amy. She is very helpful, kind and always available for clients specifically when I have questions or concerns. She always replied on time and answer all my concerns in very professional and gentle way. She is very knowledgeable and very confident in handling case. At some point I was very anxious but she relieved my anxiety by assuring me the results of my case and I trust her confidence that's make me more comfortable. I would definitely recommend to do business with her. she is very competitive.
