Derrick patiently and expertly handled the transfer of the deed to our former family residence from my ex-wife to me as part of our divorce agreement. This was a complicated matter because I had neglected to file the transfer papers and requisite tax forms immediately after the divorce. After many years had passed, my ex-wife (with whom I was no longer in contact) had since relocated out of state, and her cooperation was needed to affect the transfer. Derrick took charge of the situation, located her and handled the matter perfectly. He answered all her questions with respect and patience and as a result she agreed to sign all the necessary papers, thereby defusing the possibility of a drawn out, adversarial situation.
