I hired him to defend my friend. He was overpaid for his services and told me he'd give me the extra $2000 back, when I asked him when I should expect a check he told me that he spent the money hiring a investigator, which he never consulted with my friend or myself about. He tried to talk his client into taking a plea deal and did not seem like he was really fighting for the best interest of his client

Mr. Deron Castro was my defense attorney for a case in 2014. I'm from south Texas and had the unfortunate incident happen to me while visiting New York, NY. He handled my case very professionally and was always available when I had any questions regarding my case. I strongly recommend consulting with him if you're in need of an honest and hardworking defense attorney in New York!

My experience using Mr. Nivins legal service was PHENOMENAL! From the moment we first spoke I knew he was the right lawyer for my case. He was very knowledgeable in family court law and made me feel confident everything was going to be okay. I explained to him what my goal was for the case and he accomplished this goal swiftly. I'm so happy at how everything worked out for me thanks to him! I would highly recommend his office to anyone seeking legal services in family court. These guys are the worst. They are not expensive because they are nickle and dime lawyers. They do no work and lost on a simple ticket. I only hired them because I could not appear in traffic court.

Joseph Nivin represented me on a matter. He handled the case very professionally and his representation resulted in a great result for my family.

So far this lawyer has 4 of my cases and 3 have returned GUILTY. Upon speaking with his secretaries, they informed me that my traffic tickets would be "most likely found not guilty, Howard usually gets 7/10 tickets dismissed" SCUM! All he did was constantly postpone the court date (which anyone can do on their own) until finally he couldn't postpone any longer in which he lost the case because he's incompetent has actually has no defense. They said 7/10... so far he's 0/3 lets see what happens with this final ticket. DO NOT HIRE, ONLY CAUSE HEADACHES AND MORE BILLS

mr nivins assisted me with a family court case. Mr nivins explains everything that is going on in the case good and bad. Mr nivin thoroughly handles all paper work and court appearances in a timely maner. Mr. nivin will call or text if something comes up. He never sits back and waits. He gets things done. i appreciate all he and his office has done to assist me and my family. he is the greatest family court attorney.

By far one of the worst service I have experience all that was done was postpone my court date (which one can do themselves ). At the end result gave him 4 tickets and he fail to dismiss or minimize any of my tickets . They did not keep me updated or informed with anything. Current going to have my license suspended with just a week notice . I will never return or do service with this so called firm . They have representatives that have no knowlegde on law nor your case basically just messengers. I personally do not recommend them to anyone and that's my opinion. Good luck if you do because my experience was terrible
