Joe, and the firm he is with (John A. Gemelli, P.C.), came highly recommended to me by a friend who is herself a highly regarded attorney. (She called them "The Kings of Queens".) After meeting with Joe at his office for a consultation, I hired him on the spot for a case we had involving ACS. Having been an employee with ACS years before, Joe was very knowledgeable about the department, their tactics, their administrative policies, etc... and how best to handle the whole situation. I also found Joe very easy to work with, sympathetic, reassuring, confident, aggressive when necessary but not overly so, timely with his responses to my inquiries, and very reachable via both phone and email. I didn't have a lot of dealings with the support staff, but the few I interacted with were professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Joe. It was a difficult time for our family, and he made it much better and the case was eventually "vacated."

I hired Joe in June 2016 to represent me in a custody and child support case in Queens.
