Maria has been representing me in my very difficult divorce. She has been attentive and caring since the first day I walked into her office over two years ago. I was very naive in my expectations and Maria was able to clearly communicate the divorce process to me. I was very concerned about the welfare of my child and Maria always respected and valued that. I have found that many divorce lawyers become immune to the emotional hardships of a divorce. They see only the law(and money). Maria was able to provide me with the perfect balance of emotional support and professionalism. She was always honest, tough but caring. It was exactly what I needed. We ended up in court for over a year because of the antics of my ex. I dreaded going there but having Maria by my side eased my anxiety. She is intelligent, well spoken and has a strong presence that commands the room. I felt very confident, even privileged to be represented by her. When we began negotiations, Maria was in control. She knew what I wanted and what I would concede on. She led the discussions, stopped bickering, and with her quick wit, put my ex and his lawyer in their place more than once. (allowing me a rare moment of satisfaction) My divorce papers have been signed but I continue to have visitation issues with my ex. Maria is still always available to help me, responding to my emails and calls. I am very grateful she was recommended to me. Ms. Schwartz represented me through my divorce. She was my pillar of strength throughout the entire journey. I could count on her to be there for me to answer questions and offer advice. In court she was strong and always argued for my best interests with conviction. My divorce took many twists and turns and she stood by my side and ensured that I would surface from these dark days with my integrity intact, my pocketbook secure and most of all that my child and I were safe and could move forward after my divorce. Ms. Schwartz can be counted on to answer phone calls and e-mails in a timely fashion – even late into the evening when needed. She can be counted on to keep you informed at each step as to what the options are and to support your decisions. Ms. Schwartz can be counted on to appear in court at all court dates, on time, prepared and ready to take control of the situation. Documents were prepared professionally and timely. I always felt that my case was a priority to her. She is knowledge and from what I could see from our many visits to the court house respected by her peers. Even now, after my divorce is final there are a few loose ends – she is still there for me and promised to work with me until everything with my case is put to rest. I hope that I will never need the services of a divorce attorney again – however if I find myself in need – I will be calling her again to represent me.
