I was recommended to work with divorce attorney Tracy Hawkes, by a good friend of mine, who is also a lawyer and I trust her completely for recommendations and referrals. I was originally working with a mediator from another office with my wife, but was way too overwhelmed to trust someone who didn't have my best interests in mind. I decided I was more comfortable hiring a reputable divorce attorney to make sure I didn't get taken advantage of and who could provide me with real advice during the most stressful time imaginable. I am so glad I decided to pull the plug on the other mediator. I can honestly say save yourself the money and skip the mediation step. Most people wind up throwing big money out the window with mediation first and eventually switch to both getting their own divorce lawyers, myself included. I definitely slept better knowing I had a real professional looking out for me, my money, my precious time with my daughter and my overall best interests in mind. Samuelson Hause has an excellent reputation and Tracy Hawkes is very professional, timely with communication with both calls and emails, comforting during in person meetings, vocal during meetings with both party's lawyers and overall effective with getting things done. I was also grieving losing my dad at the same time I was getting divorced, so my life was very overwhelming to say the least. Tracy Hawkes is very real and was compassionate to what I was going through. She was supportive and made me feel confident and reassured during the divorce process. The whole process took around a year and I highly recommend Tracey Hawkes and Samuelson House, PLL.
