I only have nice things to say about Gillian Lewter. She was able to get things done that others could not. Very caring and professional. I truly recommend her.

It took me months to write this review. I honestly did not want to believe that my case was handled so poorly, but, I do believe people need to be informed with honest reviews and be aware of what they’re getting from people who work with the community and do fee for service. Throughout my divorce process, I was clueless of the judicial system and how it worked. Sadly, hiring this law firm added to my confusion on the regular. My first court date for a very high conflict divorce, my lawyer made me aware minutes before I walked into the court that she would not be able to appear. Instead, she sent a replacement that truly could not represent me properly because I never discussed the details of my case with her. We met for the first time minutes before we walked into court. In the first two court dates, my children’s residential custody was given to their father, then it was the house, then it was my car. I spent the next few court dates being bullied by my soon to ex husbands lawyer, my children’s lawyer and had insufficient legal representation. My lawyer, Gillian, knew that I was a victim of domestic violence, she knew I had very limited funds (but I was able to pay her 5K retainer in one shot), she knew I had fled my home I owned with my ex for safety and still lied to me and told me I had to give her another 5K to go to trial. (Whereas other lawyers will at least do a payment plan.) She even went as far to say to me that she was being beat up every court date and needed us to wrap this case up because it was “too much”. The insensitivity towards my situation was exhausting and made me realize I needed to do better than this. During this long, drawn out process, I began to seek other counsel but did not have the finances to pay them, so I let the system railroad me and do as they pleased. Through seeking other counsel, I was educated that my lawyer was actually an immigration lawyer. Another thing I was not aware of. I spent more time studying law and finding paperwork on DIY court form sites so I could file paperwork to protect myself than I did worrying about my family and health. I literally felt like I was in law school learning how to become a lawyer. After retaining an actual divorce lawyer with experience and professionalism, I finally saw that I was played terribly by this lawyer. I was placed in better hands and was educated on the law and what my rights were and how to protect myself and my children. I would like to add that this lawyer is ABSOLUTELY NOT A GOOD FIT FOR LGBTQIA2S+ CLIENTS AND CLIENTS WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. When you are looking for a lawyer, you need to have someone that is comfortable navigating the courtroom and difficult situations. Divorce is ugly. If you hire a lawyer that makes your situation even more difficult, RUN! Gillian got her money and left me hanging. I was never even notified that my divorce was finalized with the court. I found out purely by accident when my ex texted me with his usual harassing rants and mentioned a divorce decree 3 ENTIRE MONTHS AFTER MY DIVORCE WAS FINALIZED. A few months later, my children ended up being put in psychological danger by the same parent that no one could help me protect them from legally. Thankfully, I was able to save them with actual legal assistance this time around. Never, ever again. I genuinely pray that Gillian educates herself more on high custody divorces or doesn’t take on cases she cannot manage. She was totally unfocused when I was her client. Her communication with me was extremely poor. I truly do pray that my case helped teach her some lessons that will help her provide better services to other clients and to become a better advocate. Horrible, unprofessional, disappointing pathological lairs . I was a client I paid up front, for them to give a court date a year later…… Then once I decided not to continue the courts magically give a early date. Nahhh was born at night but not last night. If you going to do business with these people. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST IT!

I needed a bull dog attorney, someone to go up against a dishonest, nasty, rental establishment that took advantage of me and my money. Mr. Wallace was the perfect match. He got my money back and them some. He sent them packing.
