So I gave Andreas a try with one of my deals since my attorney happened to be away on holiday and the deal needed to get completed quickly. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in the legal aspects of a business sale (as was I after dealing with him) but he has the ability to understand the business aspects of deal as well – and unless you’re a business owner that’s dealt with attorneys in the past, you may not appreciate the importance of this attribute. This is not to be understated. He brought so much to the table with respect to the actual negotiations of the sale contracts and carefully explained the business consequences and potential consequences of the provisions of the contracts. He also made sure proper protections were in place for me after the sale closed as well. The law office of Bashian & Papantoniou was fantastic and most importantly ended up saving me a ton of money. I was moving my office into a class A real estate building, prior to this I had never dealt with a structured corporate lease before so I sought expert advise. Initially I was reluctant to hire the firm because I did not want to incur any costs in addition to my move, gut instinct told me to go ahead and hire them so I did. Within 10 days of lease completion I was faced with a huge construction issue that the landlord tried to pin on me which would have cost tens of thousands of dollars to rectify ended up being covered by the landlord because Andreas Papantoniou structured the contract as such.
