I had used Cheryl in a highly contentious and lengthy divorce. Cheryl was always there and always on top of her game. She is highly organized, thoughtful and tough when need be. She was always emotionally supportive, kind and caring especially during difficullt times. Whether your divorce is amicable or not, I highly recommend her.

divorce stinks. Separating from a spouse requires legal expertise but is a lot easier when your lawyer can be emotionally supportive while knowing the law. Cheryl did both extremely well. Bravo!

I truly consider Cheryl one of the Angels in my life. I went through a very difficult divorce with a very difficult man. Her attention to detail and knowledge of Matrimonial Law were outstanding. Her calm demeanor in volatile situations not only worked in my favor but also taught me a great life lesson. Cheryl always availed herself to me, even on weekends. She procured a settlement that was fair and expedient. She was also well aware of the emotional roller coaster one is on during a divorce. She attended to those needs as well. I would not only recommend Cheryl but I also admire her. She brings grace and dignity as well as knowledge and experience to a life situation that is devastating to most.

I had a very complicated divorce which got very ugly, as many do. I could not have asked for a better advocate. Cheryl was bright, articulate and responsive to all of my needs. She was able to negotiate on very difficult matters and would fight tenaciously on my behalf. I read a negative review about her on this website and could not disagree more. Not only was she always responsive (even on evenings and weekends if needed), Cheryl was on top of everything and perhaps the expectations of that person were not attainable. She was extremely clever and believes on thinking outside the box when it comes to resolving difficult issues. I knew Cheryl cared deeply about my case and I would recommend her.without trepidations.

I had Cheryl represent me some time ago in my divorce, and it is not my practice to write reviews, let alone non-positive ones. However, I feel obliged to share my experience for prospective clients searching for a divorce attorney. Cheryl is a nice person, and we got along well. I do not feel though that her depth of knowledge or ability to strategize was sufficient for what was required in my case. Whenever I would try to speak with her about what would happen should certain scenarios arise, she would not be able to answer. She was not able to formulate a strategy, nor speak/think though potential scenarios, and how we would approach them. Also, she was difficult to reach and unresponsive on many occasions, during my long tenure as her client. I believe she would do an adequate job for boilerplate template projects. Her work (as delivered by the Gassman firm) was highly organized and professional. However, in my experience, things requiring strategy and containing a degree of complexity would not be the best fit. I am torn as to whether or not to write this review, because I don't wish anything non-positive for Cheryl. But, having gone through an extremely difficult and long divorce, I know how tough it is on people. And I would like to help people in such situations make sure they align with the best attorney for their circumstance.
