I am a single mom and Registered Nurse and left the state of New York to be safe. I was threatened by my ex's lawyer to bring the child back, even though its been more than 6 months, paternity was never established and we were never married. Mike made me feel so much better after he spoke to me about the LAW and not the lies that I was being told by my ex's lawyer. He saw that I was a single mom and didn't overcharge me either. Mr. Levy was also amazing and stayed on the phone with me for an hour going over my case for FREE!!! That does not happen in New York. Best litigation attorneys ever. I had a pressing legal matter. I contacted Barrows Levy on a Saturday. Itamar who is one of the partners, gets back to me on that same day on a weekend. I was surprised to hear from someone on the weekend, amazed on the same day, he gave me an initial quick consult and what I needed to prepare for our full consultation. He set up a free consultation with me a few days later over Zoom of Microsoft Teams. Within a week after that, they were retained, filed a lawsuit against a company for me for money owed, breach of contract, etc, and served the defendant. It's like the best client service I have ever experienced and they get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. I wish everything went as smooth as this. What a great experience.

I know a lot of lawyers and have used lots of lawyers. It’s concerning and scary as a guy getting divorced that I would get the short end of the stick. This is my second review of Mike after custody decision was finalized. The first one was prior to trial and appeal. I hired Mike when I was in disastrous situation. I had an OP against me, I could not get access to my daughter, petitions for the sole custody and child support was filed by my ex. After the first court appearance with Mike, OP was removed and I got temporary residential Custody. Right after, my ex created a criminal case against me. Mike helped me promptly to get all criminal charges dismissed and I got full temporary custody of the child. Custody battle last over 2 years and all this time Mike was a grate help for me. After Custody hearing that by itself last for a year I got permanent full Custody of the child despite that we got a new judge. Again, it would be impossible to achieve without Mike’s A year later, we won an appeal filed by my ex. It is not very common in our days that fathers get full custody especially when mothers do not overuse drugs or alcohol but I got it with grate Mike’s help. Mike often gave me advises that saved me time and money. For example, he ended up the hearing right in time despite that I thought more time is required to bring more witnesses to convince the judge. Mike available when I need him and answers to my messages / phone calls in time. His promptness saved me in number of situations in my high-conflict divorce. He was transparent to me, did not hide anything. Mike is a good strategist. For example, I accepted one of his advises that was not beneficial to me in a short term but played well at the end. I knew what I wanted and use Mike’s sharp mind, professional skills and experience of a trial lawyer in order to achieve the desirable outcome. If you on his website, it means that God led you to the best person and the best attorney. I personally had experience with almost 8 attorneys , I had good ones, famous names as well as bad ones and so so attorneys. When I met Michael , I was amazed that attorney like him exists. He presented as extremely warm, caring, extremely honest, helpful and wonderful person. From professional stand point, he is aggressive , hard-working attorney, he fights for his clients like for his own family. He understands your case from the first moment. He deeply analyzes and develop a strategy to win. He does not make under the table deals with other attorneys like it is common now a days. He is on your site. He returns phone calls and messages the same day. He understands your case. He works quickly and does not waste your time and your money at all. This is extremely rare now a days. All he cares is about your case, and he works at his maximum capacity, he does everything above and beyond. He cares about his reputation and your case. He truly does his best for a very reasonable price. My regret was that I did not meet his in the very beginning of the process. I would safe tons of money and nerves and I would win the case and get everything I wish and deserve. Michael agreed to work on a very complicated appeal for me. Many firms refuse to take and previous firm lost the appeal that Michael perfected. Michael gave me a great price, payment plan and he was answering all my questions , as well as my family phones calls. Thanks to Mr.Barrows I won my lawsuit against one of our biggest clients that refused to pay our company for our products and services. Unfortunately I made the error of extending a credit to someone who wanted to steal from our small business and think that they could cheat the system. Having gone through a prior divorce some years back, I needed a new lawyer. My prior lawyer retired. While my prior lawyer was okay; Michael was and is par excellence when it comes to professionalism, knowledge and legal advice. He has helped me countless times to navigate the murky waters left over from my previous divorce as well as providing representation and support for current matrimonial actions. Before I hired my previous attorney, I had interviewed someone else. I found her poorly attentive to my needs. Since the retirement of my former attorney I interviewed another lawyer but found him woefully unprepared to answer the complex legal issues I was facing. I know it is hard and somewhat expensive to find the right person, I can honestly say that I have worked with three prior attorneys before finding him and he is by far the best I have found yet. What makes Michael so good are a few things that I would like to specify: First and foremost, he is a very nice person and I feel comfortable with him. Secondly, he has a deep knowledge of the law and a lot of experience in the court system. He knows everybody which is very important. Thirdly, he is very strategic in his approach. Obviously, he works both sides of the matrimonial issue so with each legal step he calculates what is the countermeasure the opposing team will to based on his experience. I bet he is very good in chess! Lastly, Michael is a straight shooter. He has told me many times, "Forget it doc, you're not gonna win on that one." Think about that. He could have easily said, as many less scrupulous lawyers would do, "Let's enter this or that motion, and I think you have a good chance...." That would have definitely have brought him more income, but he has morals and will tell you what is the right or wrong move for your individual situation without bankrupting you financially and emotionally. Finally, he is not all about clocking this and clocking that. Granted, he needs to make a living and he is worth his fee, but he is not going to nickel and dime you to death. You will not regret your decision to hire Michael Barrows.
