I retained Kim Brennan-Joyce's services for my divorce in 2017, and a settlement was recently reached. Throughout the past year and a half, she has been incredibly helpful with my getting through the process. Besides making sure the settlement was fair, and all aspects detailed out in full, Kim often took the extra time to explain and discuss things with me when I was confused about parts of the process. What started off as a very scary and worrisome situation for me, due to my spouse's inconsistencies, became a process that I felt comfortable with, and knew was being handled correctly and fairly. I also had to pay a retainer fee at the beginning of the process, but, that is standard with any type of law action being obtained. Also, the process can take time, as there are so many other factors that can hold up parts of the paperwork, including, opposing lawyer's late responses; spouse's delinquencies; awaiting court dates; etc. It can be a long process, but, I did come to understand that it was all worth it in the end. Having a lawyer that you can trust and respect, and know has your best interests at the top of the list, is absolutely necessary if you are going through a divorce. The opposing side or other unexpected factors, can create a lot of issues and can add fear and stress to an already anxious situation. Even when you are in total agreement with the divorce situation, the process can still be incredibly scary because of the unknown outcomes. Whenever those things arose, Kim always eased my mind, and advised me not to worry. That kind of attention during something emotional like this, is very important to be able to feel confident about. I believe my fees have been very fair, and I couldn't be more grateful for Kim's assistance and work with my case. I started off afraid that I would lose everything, to ending up with exactly what was just and fair in my circumstances. I was lucky to have found her, and I highly recommend her to anyone in the same situation.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kim Brennan-Joyce for the past year on my divorce. Both Kim and her paralegal have always been professional and quick to respond. Kim responds to all questions/concerns promptly with expert knowledge and advice. I can honestly say that she has gone above and beyond for my case. Other reviewers have cited financial concerns. I can report that Kim has been fair with her pricing and billing, and has worked to accomodate my financial needs. I would highly recommend Kim for anyone seeking a strong divorce lawyer who will advocate strongly on your behalf. I can’t say enough good things about her and her team.

I am very satisfied with the Russo, Karl, Widmaier & Cordano firm and the work they have performed to date on my behalf. Mrs. Kim Brennan-Joyce and her legal secretary Mrs. Patricia Dillion have been representing and defending me during my divorce action. They absolutely have been a pleasure to work with. I have worked with Mrs. Brennan-Joyce for the past year and a half on a very complex and high conflict divorce. She is very professional and a top notch strategist. In my career I have worked with many highly skilled attorneys from corporate, intellectual property, personal injury, property, employment, international law, and Mrs. Brennan-Joyce would be rated among the best of them. My personal opinion of going through family court and NYS Supreme Court - Matrimony Division is that the system is “broken”. Mrs. Brennan-Joyce has skillfully guided me through both courts consolidating multiple actions, forensic evaluations, dealing with law guardians, and child psychologists. The end result? She has positively positioned me to have a more than fare chance of gaining custody of my two daughters over their stay at home mother. Mrs. Brennan-Joyce has always been upfront with me in regards to the realities of my situation. She has never overpromised and has clearly laid out what I needed to do, to achieve the end result I was desiring. Never once has payments been an issue, nor have they been apart of any conversation, except when she felt actions were unnecessary and I was better saving my money than moving forward on those actions. Durning my darkest hours of my divorce, when I was behind on my legal fees and out of work, Mrs. Brennan-Joyce has went above and beyond to accommodate me to make sure my case was NEVER neglected. She always made sure when my children were denied access to me, she was up front and center in court fighting for me, regardless of outstanding balances. Mrs. Brennan- Joyce and Mrs. Patricia Dillion are a great team. They have always answered my calls, called me back after hours on their personal time and met with me on the weekends to accommodate my work schedule. I could not be more thankful for the support they both have given me. I have never had an unanswered phone call, or message, text/email not returned. I have read some of the reviews on this page and disagree with the one put up about Mrs. Brennan-Joyce. I can understand clients involved in any matrimony actions being frustrated, as we are all in the “weeds”. We cannot see the bigger picture on what is important and what issues will have no impact on our overall situation. That is why we hire our attorneys to guide us an represent us. To help us focus on what is important and to craft and sculpt our case. If something is of issue, Mrs. Brennan-Joyce and Mrs. Patricia Dillion will be in touch with you. I was once given the candid advice that when you go into a divorce action, you need your TEAM. That means your attorney, strong supporting family & friends, and a psychologist. I used to laugh at that advice, but it is true. All those team members have a unique an individual part. If you combine those needs onto your attorney, you will be frustrated because that is what they do not do. Your attorney is to be used as a guide, to represent you in your action, strategizing and executing for you. Your family and friends will provide you with the emotional support you need and your psychologist will work with you to ensure you make good decisions during your ordeal. It is on the client’s shoulders to understand the attorney’s role and use them accordingly. That being said, wIthout a doubt, I would recommend Mrs. Brennan-Joyce to represent anybody who needs a great family law attorney. After my divorce action is completed, I will be definitely be using Mrs. Brennan-Joyce on my estate planning needs. Thank you for reading my review.
